Abortion: Murder to the Second Degree

is how so many people are willing to cave in to be liked or to win...to look at an act as horrific as abortion, and justify it under any circumstances shows a lack of understanding of the sanctity of life. Let us create man in our image"...anyone created in Gods image is precious.

I think this is one of the things the recently deceased Jerry Falwell had right...He did not compromise and accept abortion politically, but he made a concerted effort to offer young women a viable alternative. He founded and supported innumerous places that served pregnant teens, single moms, and not only fought politically against abortion but fought with his time, money, and passion against individual abortions. It is easy in the heat of political battle to forget about the people, the personal aspect of unplanned pregnancy.

A Church called Glad Tidings in our town has a program to take in teenage moms, also a program to foster babies while their moms detox from drugs or serve jail time. A group called a Womans Friend offers counseling, adoption, and a variety of other services to support young women in this crisis. Those are the kinds of things that MUST go along with the political fight...the fight on the ground to support people who are considering abortion, to convince them to make a decision for life, to keep it from occuring.

Thank you, Mr. Keepers for informing the public of those alternatives. I also would like to add that giving the child up for adoption is a great way to give the child a chance to flourish. Everyone says that no one wants to adopt children anymore, but that is not the case. There are a lot of people who are willing to adopt newborn babies. Again, that excuse is another flawed justification to get an abortion.
