Maybe we should send all criminals to the lush vacation spots where they can enjoy the lives many of us never will; their self images massaged & soothed. I'm sure they'd become class A citizens and Sunday School Teachers.

I don't know whose brainchild this new way of dealing with criminals is, but it is insanity to the max; pretty much like everything else going on in our country today. In case we haven't noticed.....the inmates are running the assylum and I'm sure you're right; "the homeboys" are laughing their butts off.

All the Homey's need is to be understood and treated with respect and given the dignity they deserve. Except they don't deserve any. Oddly though I don't think prison is a good place for them either. Too many bad influences there.
They would do better being sent as an outsourcing labor pool to China or North Korea. Or if the crime is a violent one with injury involved to the victim. Public Execution and with all executions also posted on a federal or state sponsered YouTube type of site.

Some of the high profile executions could even be offered as pay-per-view and generate income.
Should be able to reduce the need for prison beds by about half for a net savings in the billions.
I also would prefer all illegal aliens committing crimes, including parking tickets, be given the death sentence. 90 days from conviction to room temperature equals a drop in crime in 91 days.

On capital punishment: I was thinking of a "Running Man" scenario. Take them up to altitude in a jump aircraft. Toss out a parachute and then a pair of bad guys. The one who can catch the chute, put it on, and land safely, gets a full pardon. I can see it a a pay-per-view - with legal wagering on which one goes free while the other augers in. Proceeds to cover expenses and restitution to the victims or their families.

The VC wouldn't answer questions, so a group was taken up in a helo and asked again. The first would usually refuse to answer and was thrown out the chopper door. By the third guy, they couldn't talk fast enough.

I would imagine your husband person is the one in shock now. It is one thing to be "on your own" because modern law enforcement is a reactive instead of a proactive force. It is quite another to find yourself in that situation because, despite the best efforts of LEOs, the bad guys they do wrap up after the fact are released to prey on society even more.

I'm still trying to find out which cities are going to attempt implementation of this lunacy. That info would qualify for PSA status.
