Glad to know you are alive and well!

I boycotted all inaugural events quite successfully. My blood pressure is up as well just from the reporting I have seen today lol

Take care! Looking forward to your return!

Dean

I'll be curious how your BP reacts to the nickel-a-bullet tax the House is proposing. They aren't going to take our guns, just make it so expensive and difficult. I'm hearing there is a new registration being proposed as well. I think all my stuff is getting ready to be "stolen"...

Hang in there, brother.

Enjoy your fishing expedition

but don't stay away tooooo long. What is "reloading"? (I'm probably the only one on the planet who doesn't know) Sounds self explanatory but I still don't know so that's what questions are for. Right?

I certainly understand your disgust and frustration. It keeps a constant heavy gray , unpleasant, cloud over one's head. So very sad that this great country has come to this. Hang in there my friend. There's hope if enough of us stand up and bring enough others on board with us. Thanks for your patriotic concern Dean. God Bless America.

Sweetie

Thanks for the concern. I'm definitely alive but as for well...maybe in four years. =)

I'll be back, just need to give it a rest for a bit.

See ya soon.

Bdubya

I know what you are saying, thankfully I reload my own.

None of my current weapons will require being stolen, but I think you might just have a good idea. I never purchase a weapon from a dealer or store so I do not have that issue.

Hanging tough here, bitter and clinging all the way.

Bobbie

"Reloading" is in reference to ammunition reloading or to put it a bit more layman friendly, ammunition re-manufacturing. Using the proper tools and componenent you take an empty shell casing and turn it into a loaded shell. Anyone who hunts or target practices a lot is probably aware of reloading as it is much cheaper to replentish ammunition supplies than purchasing new.

I find it ironically humorous that all the Obamunist supporters were naysaying our warning that he and his ilk would try to disarm us. They are moving much faster on that issue than I ever dreamed possible. Who would have thought ANY politician in DC could get these things ramrodded through so fast. Hunker down and hoard is all I can advise, bad times are coming.

Thank you for your well wishes, I will be back after a short hiatus. I have not given up, just need a bit of a break from politics to keep my sanity.

Total understanding on my part.

I didn't watch the coronation, either.

If you are in the same mood as I am about political fortunes...
here's a tip.

I record all my news programs before watching them. Then, if something is coming up that causes my BP to rise, I just fast forward to the next item... works for me.

Dean D.

Hiya Dean,
I noticed your absence and figured you were taking a break. Thanks for the update. I hope you enjoy this time with your stepson, time with loved ones is an invaluable investment.

The reloading does sound relaxing, we'd like to learn how to do that.
The CCW permit class went very well, I will apply for my permit on Monday!

Take care, and we're here for you.
God bless you and yours,
Jennifer

Jennifer

Thanks for stopping by and for the kind words.

Getting that CCW is an accomplishment to be proud of, congratulations! If you do decide to learn to reload you might want to browse this website: http://reloaders.gunloads.com/ There are many other sites on the web but I have found this forum to be friendly and very helpful. They have lots of "stickied" posts with quite a bit of helpful info.

Best wishes to you and yours.
I'll be back...=)

Buck

Thanks for stopping in and for the words of encouragement.

I've foregone TV since about Y2k, I only use the one I have for watching movie DVD's. I cannot get cable and I refuse to pay for dish service so there I am. No loss IMO but heh. Lately staying away has been MUCH more enjoyable than munching Tums and shaking my fist at the computer screen. ROFL

Take care, I'll be back in a while.

Dean D.

You can NEVER spend too much time on the reloading bench! haha

You know DeanD...

...many of the same thoughts have been floating around in my head, too. Like, "whats the point?". Its nice that we have our little group of logical thinking TH bloggers, however. But I may have to take a hiatus as my financial situation is in question. Family and home have to come before blogging. The jury isn't in yet, so we'll see. DD

DD

It was interesting to me to read about your present attitude since it describes mine exactly.
I have been half reading the paper and half listening to TV and not reading many blogs and just kinda vegetating for the time being.
It will also be interesting to see how soon we get out of the blahs and start caring again.
You mentioned "four years" and I hope it isn't that long, but I am too disgusted with too many things to want to be exposed to it all right now.
Keep on "reloading" :-)))

DeanD

Just like you, reloading and its routine is almost a Zen thing for me. I do it, sometimes, just because.

I have way more ammo than I could use in a year.

Depending on what kind of a year it would be, that is.

My first day back since the 17th, I think.

Dean D.

Hey Dean,

I sent a 'hollar' by way of e-mail.
Would really appreciate your opinion on something. Give me a shout back when you
get a chance.
Thanks, Jennifer

Cindy

Thanks for the link! I need one of those for my trapshooting!

Yes, I am still working on reloading and doing some shooting. I just got back from our annual county trapshoot today. I got lucky in the class C doubles and won a nice picture and a small bit of money to defray my costs.

I'm still very sick of the situation in our country. I still get very angry when I read all that is going on in the cesspool we call D.C.. From what I can see at the moment, talking to those morons is not going to change anything. I figure when the sheeps clothing comes off over the next 2 years we might just have a chance to salvage something from the mess...I hope.

Take care, I'm lurking, loading and laying low here.

Dean

I'm thinking of moving to lay low myself. (In Gun Country)
