Things That Are Useless and What To Do Next

SP.....Am I One of Those?

I understand your fustration, but I also hope I am not one of those "R's" that you refered to. I have written the Republican Party and stated in no uncertain words what they will have to do to get me back.

Yes, I voted McCain/Palin; but only because of Sarah Palin. I intend on changing the Republican Party during the next 2 years. I want to see "new blood" as the Republican Party "movers and shakers". People, like McCain, I want to see gone.

GG

You are certainly not a howler monkey. You are reasonable and can see the big picture. I'm referring to the ones who try to scare people into voting for the Repubs. The Number One Reason Obama won is because there was NO alternative. I'm referring to those like Gerson and Medved who still insist that McCain was a strong candidate.

Basically, instead of just sitting in the cheap seats and yelling, I am going to figure out how I can get the correct message out.

SP....Have You Thought About

staying in the cheap seats and getting those sitting around to see what you see?

Let's face it, living in Mississippi, I am in Deep Right Field in the "cheap seats". But if I get enough people to see the situation my way in Mississippi, I have accomplished a great deal. My county went for O'Vomit because of the large percentage of black voters. What if I can change their minds?

Personally, I had my chance at the "Box" seats in the 1970's. I said no to this chance. Life was too short to have to live in New York City. (It is a great place to visit but I will not live there.)

Sometimes it is better to stay in the "cheap seats" and change those around you.

I hear you

Let's move on and forward

GG

I agree. What I mean is that I need to do more instead of just yelling at the players. You're right, we all need to get those around us to see the big picture. People have to realize there are other ways. Right now, the Dems and Repubs are arguing numbers instead of solutions.

May I suggest one other item?

It's found in 2 Chronicles 7:14:

"If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land."

If ever a land needed healing, it is this one. Remember, God plus one is a majority in any situation. Reformation and Revival are both needed. Read your Bible and work like it all depends on you, and then pray like it all depends on God. And remember too that He is always in control.

of course, Interface

I've been praying daily and am in agreement with you. We've just sent thousands of angels in flight.

SP

Well said my friend. I'll be joining you in the coming fight. I think everyone is burned out right now, particularly those of us who were basically fighting both sides, but we will see what the new year brings.

Merry Christmas to you and yours, and best wishes for a Happy New Year.

Merry Christmas, Sarge

Yes. Burned out and dismayed. You know, in the good old days we knew we would win some and lose some but we had faith that our guys were on our side. Now, I don't even think the police will help us when the Left goes wild.

and on that note: Cheers! hahaha

Good one, SP!

Check out this editorial in today's LA Times, speaking about SCDS:

Think this guy's been reading our blogs?

??

Have you seen this?

Useless?

Maybe. Likely. And I've been here, too. Not only the distraction of law school has fed my absense. It has also been a deep frustration in the reaction from the GOP. I still call myself republican, but only hesitantly. We have no other place to go in terms of a political party.

Reading the Constitution would be great, but I'd also suggest finding some old and original Supreme Court decisions.

That is enlightening because it sheds light on the thoughts of our early leaders, and it shows that many of these current debates are not new.

But even if they are not new, they currently present specific ideas that has our founders turning in their graves.

As my Con Law professor has pushed, one of the absolutel goals was to keep virtuous people in office. Another was to avoid factionalism, ie special interest groups...
