This is relevant if he is still that kind of guy.

He is supposed to be a southern Baptist?

How did he come to be saved?

People in the Bible belt want to know about this.

An affair 30 years ago is less releveant.

What Bible belt people want to know is if his wife can trust him now.

If he did it with a lobbyist that just broadens the revulsion to non evangelicals if it is true.
