I LOVE the idea of adopting a Lincoln-Douglas debate format for presidential debates. The dog and pony shows we get now have become completely irrelevant in my mind; it always blows my mind how anyone can think that someone "won" one of the things.

If candidates actually debated in the Lincoln-Douglas format, I think there would be a lot fewer "undecided" voters. Could anyone sit through 30 minutes of Clinton/Obama vs. McCain/Romney debating healthcare and still remain undecided on the issue? I don't think so.
