good post
and great pics. Glad you could make it to D.C and protest along with many other Americans angry at what's happening. This is really important. Looked like a good sized crowd. Hate to say it but the tea party I attended in Denver was 73 degrees and partly cloudy!

GREAT SHOTS! They changed the time of the one in Baltimore and didn't communicate it until WAY after the fact. So I had to sit it out :(.

The time for words has passed. We must all become active participants in this struggle. Tell your friends, neighbors, and anyone who’ll listen, that all of us must act...no more silent majority.

Brave patriots all
You faced the rain, now thanks for braving and facing the socialist pacifists in both the Adminsistration and the MSM. We must not stop the momentum here. Demand that the GOP force this issue on taxes, spending, denouncing the DHS report, support our military and do it on Talk Radio, the Net and CSPAN on a daily level. Blessings and stop by.

NOW, that's the American spirit I have missed...rain, cold, or the Atlantic Ocean couldn't keep you all away!
I agree, ALL of us need to stay involved and be silent no longer.
Thanks for the pics and hope you have a safe trip back to Italy.
Ciao :o)

5000 Thousand Miles..
Inthenow you shame alot of Americans! I went to the local one here in Va Bch. It was 10 minutes from home. We had a good turn out with Great Speakers...I was so sick the day before I didn't think I could make it even though I'd taken off work to go.(We were outside one of Senator Webb's Offices). The people were gracious and patriotic. We did the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag at the end of all the speeches. It was done with a lot of meaning.
There is going to be another one in June.

Love the pictures. I liked the one with the credit card on it.
Good for you and getting out there in the rain. It did look cold. We had it warmer in CA. Of course it looked really good with Cavuto in Sacramento!
Thank you for sharing!

Did You See Any Spies?
Regardless of what some of the Liberal Trolls have said, I figure there were some "spies" at the TEA Parties.
I enjoyed the pictures. Sorry to see if rained on everyone.
Here in Mississippi we had formal parties at Tupelo and Jackson. In Clarksdale, I met with 4 close friends for lunch and coffee and "to speak a little treason" as Mr. O'Flynn said in the movie The Quiet Man. (We did place TEA signs on our table.)

Again, a BIG thanks to
to all of you who stopped by and commented. I’m spending another week in Virginia before returning to bella Italia.
p.s. Gray Ghost...the suspicious looking character wearing the communist headgear in the second photo is yours truly. However, there were about a half a dozen young sign carrying counter protesters that tried to disrupt the proceedings. They made their way to the front, but where quickly ID’d and surrounded. One of their signs ended up under my feet. Don’t know how that happened. ;)

Great post and great pics. You're a true patriot for traveling such a distance to get involved. I definitely was with everyone in spirit even though I couldn't attend one. With some of the posts I've read, it seems like I did. Got a new post up. Stop by when you can. I'm glad you stood up and was accounted. I think this blog should be the featured blog of the week.

Excellent post. Don't worry if you have tooted your own horn,FAR too many would not even travel 5 miles to attend these events.I was just glad to see so many protesting in Livonia, outside Detruit,(rhymes with Beirut)an area that was pretty solid for Obama. Looks like H&C ain't working too well for them, either.

To everyone else who commented
after 18 April; THANKS!
I returned from the states yesterday. As a military retiree, I have access to space-available military flights. I can tell you that it sometimes gets frustrating getting bumped off flights now and then, but it is a real pleasure flying with my brethren. Kinda a like flying with the family. On my final leg from Rota, Spain to Sigonella, I was the only pax on a C-17. It was loaded with Blackhawks and a few armed soldiers going east. It was a pleasure talking to theses young troops who were heading to the tip of the spear. When they ask why I was visiting Italy, I told them I was traveling home after participating in the Washington Tea Party. They both got wide grins and one grunted a “HOORHA SIR”.
I knew before I departed Italy that I was doing the right thing. The young soldier verified it.
P.S. Davecatbone...to answer your question, I’m the fellow dressed like a European communist in the second photo.
