Blame it on Huckabee

Bush

If you are disappointed with Bush you may need to go back and do some more research on Huckabee. There are more than a few similarities. Neither of them are fiscal conservatives. In fact, Huckabee may be worse because he seems to have an affinity for increasing constituents tax burdens. There is ample evidence and really, it should be quite devastating to his chances. That is, if you are not just a social conservative.

I am in your camp- I had intially written him off when My parents who live in AR told me about him..but I have been CLOSELY monitoring the developments and this guy handles himself very well. About time we have someone who is likeable, quick on his feet, and can articulate Republican Principles with wit & conviction.

The Double Standard
This was Overall an Excellent speech. Someone eventually had to make a speech like this especially calling out Secularism as the new "religion" For this I admire and salute Mr. Romney! However, It sickens me when ALL ALONG the media has been badgering Huckabee making reference to his experience as a Pastor INSTEAD of 10 1/2 years as a Governor. When Huckabee has the gall to short circuit all the questions by acknowledging himself to be a "Christian Leader"/ much akin to Romney's speech...instead of letting the under the radar mumblings and mischaracterization go unchecked- they hit it straight on..."this is who we are". The only difference is Huckabee acknowledged this form the beginning and Romney waited until his poll numbers dropped ..he should have addressed it a long time ago. But whatever, I like either one of them MUCH more than ANY of the others. We need someone who can articulate with conviction the coarsening culture of our time.(BUT IF IT IS VERIFIED THAT ROMNEY DID HIS OWN PUSH POLLING TO GARNER SYMPATHY as cited above I WILL BE VERY DISAPPOINTED.)

Huck

I have been tending that way lately, also, but then I saw an article today in Town Hall that is not complimentary at all!
It is too bad that we don't have a really good candidate this time to fight Hillary.
My attitude is ABC, of course, (anyone but Clinton) but it sure would be good to have someone I could get excited about.
I had hoped Thompson would be the one but he isn't exciting enough.
Huckabee's record in Ark is not inspiring but I will probably vote for him as a last resort.
Good luck to all of us!

Huck

Maybe I am getting old, but I tend to be more socially conservative than fiscally conservative anymore. To me it is not all about the economy, but rather how we treat life (both in the womb and beyond). Huckabee is the first one that I have heard that tends this way, but it may in fact be a minority opinion.
