His nationalism combined with his KGB background has caused him to behave in the only way he knows how. His goal is to be an undeniable world superpower, And he is well on his way. I shutter to think about an American slapdown of Russia, but I can also imagine a scenario where he severely over steps his bounds and a response will be all but certain. When the bear forages into a neighborhood with impunity he will return later with even greater disregard.
