huckabees stance on immigration

I dont agree with the assertion that Huckabee is pro-amnesty. I believe he believes in securing the border then fixing the illegal immigration funk were in. His stance on not punishing the children is not necessarilly a popular policy, but it is also a somewhat realistic approach. it shouldnt be the children left to pay for their parents mistakes. They did nothing wrong. Just like a fetus shouldnt pay for the parents getting pregnant.

Definately not my first (or second or third choice).

He is a big governement guy that raised taxes as governor multiple times and is for nanny state type policies such as trying to eliminate smoking. He is GWB 2 without tax cuts. For growth in Gov spending and taxes, yet becuase he is religious and strong on defense (but not the strongst) he is somehow conservative?
