I commend you on the depth of your post my friend. But it is casual Sunday and can not help but to throw some "mix" into your last paragraph with some reverse sarcasism to our beloved U.S..

In the u.s., we call these subverted people liberal democrats. And they were brainwashed by the democrat politicians. Their drug was a government check (other peoples money). These people suffer from the same symptoms;

They now vote for whomever dangles a carrot in front of them with no thought to it. Whether it be monotary benefits or special privilages.

Funny in a way. Different in purpose yet similar fundementaly, eh. All in the name to hold on to power.

However, these people aren't demorilized. They fight amongst each other for royalty statis. Hhhmm...
