Re America loved or...the hated
Eric! great post!! your arguments are right on! You were right to include the ACLU and UN! They are among the most vocal and hateful anti-American organizations. Terrorism did not begin because they hate George Bush. A MUSLIM TERRORIST. Sirhan Sirhan killed Bobby Kennedy because he supported selling jets to Isreal. I consider this the first Islamo attack on our soil. Most have forgotten this fact. They HATE because of what we stand for and who we are. They are of the darkness and dark cannot exist in the light! May America's LIGHT keep shinning!

Thanks. This may be America's biggest challenge, facing enemies on foreign and home soil, while the integrity of our constitution is under attack by our very own citizens! These are very trying times indeed!

Pure Hate
You tapped into something. There are people both foreign and domestic that despies freedom and liberty. They hate everything about self determination. Have you ever paid close attention to Carl Day (CADAY5)? He's a perfect example. You'll never understand these people, they are wired differently. It's just enough to identify the enemy or to lose by attrition or forfeiture.
Great post Eric.

As close as we've come to realizing it, MLK's "Dream" has been dealt a set back, thoug the left thinks they have fulfilled it.
In electing Obama, they judged the man, not by the content of his character, but by the color of his skin, only in a way that, I suspect, would have thoroughly stunned King.
The libs think they've done a great and noble thing by electing a black man as president, but by not even taking into consideration any other qualifications he might (and does) lack, thay merely proved that Affirmative Action is a dismal failure.

Excellent blog and comments, Eric! For years I have wondered where it is the Left wants to take the nation! These last three long months of pbho and his near dictatorship should be a wakeup call! Beyond pbho`s oh-so-many mistakes and serious gaffes, there is the reality of the living nightmare of what he intends to do with our freedoms. Somehow we must find a way to stop this runaway administration ....

Good points. America has the special something that most countries can only dream of. Those like Cayday forget that, or otherwise despise the very principles that make us great.

There are plenty of black leaders that would have been much better than Obama. You are exactly right on the MLK dream comment. And whats worse is that he attended a racist church and was still elected. Imagine if Obama were a white person the flack he'd get from the left. It'd be like Ali vs a 2 year old.

I agree. This has got to be stopped. We can't just sit idly and watch our liberties float away. The tea parties were a stepping stone. I pray we can build a bridge.

Nice post.
I heard on Quinn and Rose that the agenda is to create as much confusion and discord as possible in order to undo as much as possible. If you look at what is going on, it's obvious that this is the tack the left is taking.
The banks, the automakers, gay marriage, foreign policy...we are getting hit on every front. And it's because the left truly believes we are flawed.
Gonna be a long year and a half until '10 elections. I hope we can hang on until then.

Eric, Its Not O'Vomit's Skin Color...
It's the fact that O'Vomit is a Liberal apologist.
I fear for my country. It will take 30 years to remove the problems that O'Vomit has initiated in only 100 days.
Unless the "Revolution" (either at the ballot box or in the other fashion) becomes a "tidal wave", the US will face problems.

Agreed. But there are those that voted for Obama for his skin color, and don't pay attention at all to what he is doing. I believe there are a large number of people who don't follow much of whats going on, whether they voted for Obama or not. You are right. This will take many years to heal this country.

Ridiculous post. I'm satisfied with Obama so far. I don't love him, but I cannot support another Republican Administration until the Republican Party figures out who they are and what they want to accomplish. If it's return to their roots as financial conservatives . . . great! If they want to be the Party of Jesus . . . I'll go elsewhere. Why don't you examine why the Republican Party has lost the support of America instead of bashing those whose support they lost (and they need to EARN back)?

Thanks for the love! Where to begin? Well, lets start with the GOP and religion, shall we? I figure that the GOP is a last bastion of Christianity, whereas the Democrats have given into the feel good way of life, IE hippies. If the GOP were to take your opinion and throw away their religious principles, we'd soon become an immoral country full of decadence persecuting those who's views differ from the "majority." We'd fall as a country, as people, and as a superpower. Reminds me of the former USSR. The silent minority were Orthodox Christians, Jews, and especially Islamic worshipers. They were persecuted because the government thought of religion as a threat to the law of the land. Last I heard the former USSR wasn't a place to party.
Bashing the support they lost? No. Sorry. I'm afraid for the lives of these fooled souls, and those who hate our country and would like to appease the world. At first, I thought by your comment that you were just taking on an opportunity to bash Christians while avoiding the major questions I brought up in my post, but then realized my words will have no effect on you whatsoever. That's the beauty of Townhall though. Anybody can comment.

I agree. The UN is so full of corruption and ineptitude that I'm surprised they are still supported. The ACLU only takes cases that further their own agenda, disregarding the old ten commandments in federal courts. Let's just pray we don't get attacked in these confusing times.

Good post. Sorry to be late to the party.
Governing strictly by the constitution is the only answer and unfortunately the only option not being discussed by the GOP leadership. They are still flailing away at conservatives to moderate their views.
The GOP is telling us that all we need to do to win is to give up everything we believe in. If I did that I'd a democrat and wouldn't vote GOP anyway. Morons!!!!
Obama is doing the heavy lifting to set the stage for a turn around but the goobers in the GOP had better start singing a different song or it will all be for nothing.

Yeah. I'm tired of those GOP who are not only traitors to their beliefs, sold out for power, or try to be moderate towards leftists who only think they're right, but also those you mentioned who are out to get conservatives. Imagine how popular the GOP would be if they banded together and headed towards fiscal conservatism!
