Yep, I know exactly how you feel. I have about 4' of global warming up here in NE Washington state! I poked a bit of fun a while ago over on my blog if your interested.

Stay close to that wood stove and pray that this global warming will lead to a mass extinction of environmentalists via hypothermia and hysteria!

As I sit here writing this, there is a blizzard raging and I have already plowed snow once today. Our local weatherman spoke of rising snow levels, but they are still with us here in Lakeview at 4800 ft. At least we are out of the sub zero temps for a while.

Darrel. Can I get over Hayes Pass?

I only listened to TV news in Medford when I contemplated driving 199 to Crescent City on my way to Eureka or Brookings. I recently sold my home at Eagle Point. Are Rosemary and Garth still surviving the slings and arrows?

I always enjoyed 31, but i must admit there were times when i was convinced i was the only one remaining in the world. Winter is truly spectacular.

I wish i were there, though at times the swill from Portland and Salem is deeper than the snow.

Keep the snow shoes at hand.

Dean. We actually started for Bellingham

recently. Then the global warming became so extreme that we turned toward San Diego.

Also, if Washington, Oregon and Califormia are in a deep depression, why do you suppose we can't find a house in Bellingham for less than 350. Just 18 months ago we found a long list for 250 to 300. We should have bought.

And we just learned that California home sales increased last month by...now get this...83%. In truth, the prices never have fallen.

My visceral lie detector is beginning to point toward Tehran, London, Brussels, Beijing and Tokyo where so many tons of the hedges were sold by Freddie and Fannie. Of course, I recently drove by the largest bank in LA, owned by a Japanese holding company.

We enjoy Spokane and the mountains of Idaho.

I'm not sure I know where Hayes Pass is. We go to Klamath Falls quite often and we have two passes on the way there, Quartz Mountain and Bly Mountain. We've only been over 31 once on a trip to Bend, but I like going to Medford better and the distance is about the same. However, with this extreme global warming we are experiencing now, I'm afraid to go to Medford because my car may boil over.

If you do happen to get up my way holler. I live about 45 miles NE of Spokane, right on the Idaho border. Sandpoint, Idaho is my hometown.

I don't know much about the real estate market up Bellingham way right now, it was "THE" place for the hollyweird crowd to retire for a while. My ex-in-laws live in Mt. Vernon and one of the clan was a real estate agent over Concrete way so that is where I heard that.

Good luck on your house hunting, it would take a HUGE club or a gun to my head to force me to live in Californication. JMO though.

Lakeview always seems to get their share!

I've tramped around your area a bit working construction. I wintered one year in Talent and another in Roseburg. I make it down to Plush every now and then to dig sunstones and collect obsidian. I don't often make it into Lakeview itself but an opal deposit between Lakeview and Klamath Falls has been beckoning to me for years now.

Hang in there, I know what your going through. Just got in from plowing another foot of global warming myself.

If you get this, I would like you to visit a website. It is texasnationalist.com and is the
Texas Nationalist Movement's website. It has gotten over five million hits since June 1.

If you believe in a free and independent Texas, give it a look. Again, it's located at http://www.texasnationalist.com

I think you will like what you see there and what we are working for.
