Thanks for your honesty...I can relate with your discouragement. We've been dealt a hard blow with the results of 11/08.
Your creativity is still there, that is obvious from this current post.
I had to take some mini-breaks along the way, making contacts to 'representatives' is time consuming, but WELL worth it.
The Conservatives and/or Christians needed a shaking up. We had become too complacent....
Nothing like having BHO elected to make us WAKE-UP :o)

Good to see you on the blogs again, Jason. And thank you so much for the kind recognition you have given to all of the TH bloggers! There has been some promising news recently, in just the last two days: protests against pbho in Denver and Mesa, Az., less than stellar reviews by the high school students there of pbho`s speech and policies and the guy from CNBC who has just had it, on record that this stimulous rewards bad behavior! Little steps for sure but a great start for "change"!

Thank you Jason for blogging and fighting for America. Even if you can't save the world..you're making a difference and I think that is all God wants from us. To make an honest effort while we're here. As soon as I saw Obama on the horizon I knew changes were coming. I've gotten in trouble at work for speaking out. I can't seem to keep my mouth shut. I know the events building in this country are revolutionary. I think the more Americans know of what's unfolding the better choices (hopefully) they are going to make..We are the Watchmen sounding the alarm spoken of in Ezekiel 33:1-10.

well, time to save as much money as we can, with Obama trying to spend in all.

I really like the acronymn. That was great! Too funny.

Soon we won't have any money to buy the soup. A billion here, a billion there, couple trillion there.

As for my senators, when I contact them, I just laugh. I am just waiting to have them kicked to the curb. One is talking about drones and giving away secrets and the other is a green head, go Boxer and Feinstein.

The responses from most Congressmen....(if any) try to pattern you as a child. EX. "Thank you for your concern on this issue, however let me try to explain to you my position.....blah blah .....blah". I feel like I am back in 3rd grade.

Doesn't seem like you took a real break at all, you redirected your activity. Your family comes before politics and you are taking care of that responsibility. Contacting our elected officials is crucial and you are doing that as well. But let's be candid, prayer and waiting on the Lord are our greatest assests.

As for 'screaming' when watching the news, I have been doing that since watching Walter Crackpot and Dan Blather (sorry, old family joke).

Found you over at Gunny's site. I always try to look in on new sites. I'm an old Granny with not a lot of time to spare. I have lots of pots in the fire. I check in on Gunny's site frequently, but don't always comment. I spend a lot of time e-mailing and calling for relief from all this tyranny. Living in IL, calling reps. is an exercise in futility. I know all too well the feeling of thanks for the input, but this is why blah, blah, blah. My only relief is my House Rep., Manzullo,R. He listens and responds to what I said, not just talking points.

Just a word of encouragement, when looking at the political scene and things get overwhelming, step back and grab wife and kids, and grab the steady hand of God. It is well with your soul.

Loved, the soup, however, I make my own from scratch. I guess it will go on the shelf next to my halfrican condom.

You have to take a look at Fred Barnes' Weekly Standard op ed today online on One Month of the Messiah. It reminds me of much many of our posters have said. We must fight the good fight of faith in this dark time. Perhaps there is a revolt coming from freedom lovers in the USA when they watch their entire social fabric and economic system blasted from its roots in just one month. But, it will also be up to the faithful to put pressure on Pubs to take up the cudgels of freedom, liberty and common sense to combat the socialist pacifists. Blessings.
