Time for a boycott
I would imagine most people on here already do this, but we conservatives need to stop watching/listening/reading the MSM as much as possible. Find a source that you trust and get your info from there. If the MSM starts losing ratings and advertising $, maybe they'll move back towards being unbiased. Maybe.

Moderate Republicans ruined the brand
I have to respectfully disagree with you wholeheartedly. Over 60% of Americans describe themselves as conservative. This is an established fact. Whenever you have a clear choice between Socialism and Conservatism, CONSERVATISM ALWAYS WINS!
The problem is with the positions that McCain and Bush took that were not conservative. Because McCain collaborated with the socialists so many times, I found it impossible to defend him. Conservatives want lower taxes. McCain voted against the Bush tax cuts. Obama is going to bankrupt the smokestack industries with this cap and trade foolishness. McCain holds the same position! McCain is against socialism but he voted for the biggest socialist bailout in American history? Immigration? McCain/Kennedy, McCain/Feingold, McCain/Lieberman… I didn't come here to beat up on McCain, but how do I defend this?
One needs to look no farther than Sarah Palin to see how a real conservative energizes patriotic Americans.
And before anyone accuses me of betraying our country, I voted for McCain. One year ago, that was something I vowed that I’d never do. But I always put my family and country before my politics. And on Nov. 4th, McCain was the only alternative to socialism.
It's a no brainer. Here's the philosophy that wins elections:
Smaller government, less confiscation of property and income, protection of innocent life, personal empowerment/personal responsibility, belief in God and the Judeo/Christian values that are the foundation of this great country, and last but not least, fidelity to the U.S. Constitution.
Is this too much to ask? I think not!
The Republican Party and moderate Republicans are as much to blame for this as the liberal MSM. I didn't leave the Republican Party, they left me.

Split party
The GOP itself lost the race. Many factors outside that didn't help. But that is one of the biggest factors. The leadership is out of touch with the base. The exit polls last night are almost identical to 2004 as far as liberal and conservative. The problem was too many conservatives are hurting know. The party being split because of its leadership and Obama preaching a message of hope. Many had what they thought was no were to turn. But the GOP can rebuild and pull these people back. Some fresh new young faces. Ones that truly reflect the base. Seeing as over 60% of the nation calls themselves conservative. Look in the mirror that is what the future of our party looks like. We need to get that back. I voted for McCain because I won't buy Obama's crap. But I see the writing on the wall. I hope the party does as well. Here are links to two post I made today. I hope you agree.
