This is a wonderful new site with lots of great people. I highly recommend it.

Great site Dave! Thanks for setting it all up. I missed all the hubbub while I was moving across town but I see most of the gang is all here. :o)

Did I really write that? Oops! How embarrassing. I meant Covert. Sounds more shadowy.

Before I even knew what happened over at that 'Pundits' forum, SND had the Covert site up and running. The time and effort that he put into it to keep the 'family' together is amazing.

Never so qiuckly has one house burned down and a new house built to replace it.

It's a shame that "the other place" had to devolve by welcoming the previously banned users.
I'm sure the reasons why they were banned will become apparent before long.

How much it means to me that this is all it took to find the REAL people on that forum. I just wish it had happened a long, long time ago.

I find myself amongst friends, a congenial atmosphere, and plenty of humor while dealing with tough issues of the day.

The members are all "top drawer"...sharp, informed and eager to educate and inform each other of the lastest good or bad news within minutes of its reporting.

Again, well done!

What to say?

I thought we got hacked by a bunch of middle school punks. You know the type, can't stand anything good, clean, or decent. Just have to urinate in the corners, graffiti the clean walls, alienate the present inhabitants, and generally revel in their baseness.

If indeed the person whose name is on the masthead of the desecrated forum authorized that debacle of 10-28-06, that pundits next book should be "Honorless, My Life Since Becoming Famous".

Being "conservative" is about holding all citizens accountable for their actions. Bad decisions, bad jokes, waffling, ignoring problems, or just acting like fools and politicians. Conservatives come in all party affiliations. If you have the desire to associate with thoughtful, free thinking, free speaking, America loving folks who work for a living, educate their kids and care for their neighbors and their country, well then CovertConservatives.com is the place for you.

I have a Master's degree, and I consider all the members at Covert Conservatives my equal or better. This is the place to go if you want to really delve into the issues of the day, or just chat about coffee on "the lighter" side of things.

Covert conservatives is comprised of many well grounded people that have stood the test of time of political discussion. It is great to have a "go to" place where the issues of the day are discussed,opposing views are presented by some members that probably wouldn't describe themselves as being conservative, but they challenge you to think for yourself, and that is what makes up a friendly debate. The moderators are battle tested and are adept at ferreting out people that want to flame, without banning opposing viewpoints that truly want an honest debate.

It is an honor for me to be associated with the Covert Conservative Forum. I originally joined TOP because of the pundit involved.

I quickly learned that, though the site was owned by the pundit, the said pundit did not post there or seem to have any real involvement with the site.

Since I first signed up, I have met a wonderful group of people that have a great love for this country and the members of the forum

Monday morning, 10/30/06, was quite a shock to me. I am very happy that I took the time to explore the new forum. All the great people are there and the friendliness continues unabated.

I encourage any true conservative to come and pay us a visit.

Good luck and I look forward to participation in the near future. Incidentally, I am familiar with the previous site and this is a drastic improvement.

One of two things occurred to bring about this sad chain of events. It may be that the pundit was totally unaware of what was happening and allowed a coup to come in through the back door. It may be that the pundit actually was aware and provided a guiding hand.

The former is not good as it reveals a disregard for constituency. The latter is worse as it reveals a lack of appreciation for years of service rendered by moderators. Unfortunately, our idols often have feet of clay.

Perhaps someday the truth will be revealed. As it is now, it's just good to have a home on a well run forum with fellow conservatives.

Thanks for all the hard work Dave. It shows. Every conservative should take a look at what you created.

Dear PA Resident and Blogger: I hope you'll make Sarah's candidacy known on Covert Conservatives. She's excellent.

There's a national effort going on to get the eventual Republican nominee for President to be Alaska's extremely popular governor, Sarah Palin, as his vice-presidential nominee. We believe Sarah's presence on the ticket would enhance the GOP's chances of winning a tough race against the Democrats.

Won't you please support this effort, one led by bloggers and not associated in any way with the Governor or her staff? We'd like to have you talk up Sarah's candidacy and associate your blog with the many others now backing her.

The site is better than ever!

Siteground determined that we were overloading their shared server and required an upgrade to a single server (no payments were missed since a year had been paid up in advance). The transfer is nearly complete and the site is much faster now. We've really seen the membership pull together to keep the board robust and viable!

This was a problem experienced by a growing forum - a problem certain other boards will never have to bother with. lol!

I went on the old pundit's site (skinny blonde), using a false name, to see what is up. I was kicked off twice, first time just for not agreeing with the dark lords there. The second time I cannot figure out what I said wrong, I was very careful. And no way they knew who I was. But I like her writtings. I do not think she ever goes there, and maybe never really did.

I tried other sites,and was not comfortable. Here I feel at home, and although we have had our tussels, we live and learn and grow.
