This stinks....I don't have the time to fukk with making it look pretty all the time!! Going crazy trying to figure this crap out!!

Yeah, Nee

I agree on the format, obviously.

Actually, the comment I wanted to make is: Fort Bragg, my old stomping grounds. That's where I took Basic.

wow!!

I had no idea that they had basic back in the day...were you airborne, too?

Right on!

Freedom isn't "free," Freedom takes an incalculable amount of Blood and treasure just to maintain it.

Graffiti I saw sprayed on an overpass years ago:

"Misspellers of the world: UNTIE!!"

Jam Apple

I think it was mistyped not misspelled! LOL!

I Hope You Said Hello to My...

nephew. He is a major stationed at Fort Bragg and has been to Iraq twice.

BTW, when BrianR was there, General Bragg was still around ("I had no idea that they had basic back in the day").

BrianR and General Bragg were old friends!

Hahahahaha!

Yeah, Ghost, all that sand was still boulders back in those days.

No, Nee, I wasn't Airborne. I was an E-1 recruit, though I did come out as E-3. Then on to Intel School, which back in that Pre-Cambrian Era was still at Ft. Holabird, MD.

I remember shooting my qualification with a smooth-bore musket.....

Brian

I deserved that...LOL
I have always, always associated anything at Bragg with being airborne, so after basic, maybe they had jump school there in the 60's.

BrianR

Percussion, Flintlock, or matchlock?

Yo Miss Nee

Don't worry about the format. You did an outstanding job. It's too bad that most Americans don't understand that freedom is not free. It is VERY costly and this current generation of our fine military is paying the price. Oh God! I hope we do not need another 9/11 to open their eyes.
One vet to another

Nee

Now I know why the Army wears those musket qualification badges.

I can attest that at least in 1965 the Army had a jump school at Ft. Benning. The Marines, being to poor to afford our own jump school, had to go there for training. HaHa!

Of course we were afforded all of the courtesy usual to Marines on a huge Army Base. LOL!

Yeah

Jump school was at Benning even back in my day.

That was pre-airplane, of course, being the geeze Nee evidently thinks I am. They had to jump out of hot air balloons.

We did get a demonstration by the Golden Knights, though, as they tried to get recruits to sign up for jump school. Personally, I figured there wasn't too much need for airborne-qualified MI agents. I passed.

LOL, Ghost.... latest tech of the time: percussion.

Damn, Brian

Cut me some slack!!LOL I am single mionded when it comes to Bragg. I never said you were a geezer or meant to imply it!! Now, drop and give this young'un a few, ye old buzzard!

Nee

I appreciate you withdrawing the geezer stuff since I'm older than Brian.

I associate Ft. Bragg with the 82nd AB, althought at one time in the 50's there were elements of the 101st at Ft. Eustis here in my area.

SC

You mean you like geezers with a sense of humor, Don't you? LOL
