Gray Ghost's Random Rants
I get tired of hearing the Liberals say: "It's for the children". Meanwhile they try to push "abortion" down my throat.
I get tired of Liberals saying we must help the poor and needy. Meanwhile they put their money "off shore" or in trust funds.
I get tired of Liberals saying "guns kill people". Guns are inanimate objects. Without human help, they can do nothing. People kill people.
I get tired of Liberal Politicians saying the War Against Terror is wrong. (90% of them voted for it.)
In fact, I am tired of Liberals.

Oh, your #1 is one I really get sick of hearing too. They could care less about children. If they did they wouldn't be pushing abortion, and particularly partial birth abortion where they drill holes into the baby's head and kill it. Such hypocrites.
In fact I like all your rants too. I'm sick to death of liberals too. It's like having the Black Plague and it keeps spreading out of control.

Good Rant! Regardless of the issue the liberal, and more often than not the republican, answer is more government.
I agree about the character issues. I personally want to know what kind of person is going to sit next to the WW III button for the next four years.
My biggest peeve with TV is the weather break-in. Yesterday it was actually important when 6 tornadoes where in the process of tearing up housekeeping 15 miles to the west. Most nights it's to tell me it's raining outside, just as if I couldn't tell on my own. A little perspective would be nice for a change.

I guess they're (the politician's) more concerned about job security than anything else. Therefore, more government. The whole thing has become a joke!
Your right! No one seems to think about 'who's going to be in control of the WW III button. It appears that deep thinkers are becoming a rarity.
Yeah, we have the same problem with weather reports here in Flemingsburg KY. It's like we are not part of the States. But you know, Pepp and I don't mind that at all.

My cry for months (actually years since the Republicans fouled up their chance in Congress")
and it is so frustrating to know there are so many of us who feel the same way and the news doesn't get through to the idiots in Congress.

I know they hear us but I agree that we are being ignored. We just got clear confirmation of that with the recent statements by Sen. Kay "I defunded the fence" Hutchinson. She is now talking about energy and could could very well be reading one of the letters I have been sending to congress for the last several years.
There is not one IDEA she expressed that has not been seen right here on the pages of TH or expressed to them in letters and emails. Now gas is $3.50 average and suddenly we make sense. WTH!

You bet they hear us and read us on blogs like TH. I saw a special news report awhile back that showed how most of the politicians have aids that constantly scan what people are saying on sites like this.
And like you I used to send countless letters to congress and my reps. I gave it up after receiving nothing but form-letter replies.
The S.O.B's hear us but could care less. I'm sure that they get irritated that we upset their plush little world with our constant nagging demands that they do their jobs. How dare we peons interfere with their royalty.

Mrs O resembles that remark
Goshawk: Here is an illustration to lament on while focusing your rant. (from a TH article)
Mrs. Obama said, “We’re confident that the American people are ready to move to a different place.
We just have to be confident and give them the benefit of the doubt, that they get all the information and we sort of come out of the muck [and] that they’ll be ready to embrace the truth.”
Now she's not even a politician...yet, anyway.
I had to separate that into two sound bites. In both parts it’s unabashedly what boiled to the surface of her cranium. When it gets really dicey is when multiple politicians argue which of them knows better what Americans want. (and so confident...)

For All...
Just received the following;
On Sat, 22 Mar 2008 18:48:04 -0400, "LTG Bill Ginn" USAF ret forwarded:
Hot on the heels of his explanation for why he no longer wears a flag pin, presidential candidate Senator Barack Obama was forced to explain why he doesn't follow protocol when the National Anthem is played.
According to the United States Code, Title 36, Chapter 10, Sec. 171, During rendition of the national anthem when the flag is displayed, all present except those in uniform are expected to stand at attention facing the flag with the right hand over the heart.
"As I've said about the flag pin, I don't want to be perceived as taking sides," Obama said. "There are a lot of people in the world to whom the American flag is a symbol of oppression. And the anthem itself conveys a war-like message. You know, the bombs bursting in air and all. It should be swapped for something less parochial and less bellicose. I like the song 'I'd Like to Teach the World to Sing.' If that were our anthem, then I might salute it."
WHAAAAAAAT!!!!!!!!!! Yes, ladies and gentlemen, this could possibly be our next president.

One thing I can say about the Chinese, when they decide to address a problem, they don't mess around with it. Can't say the same about us.

BrianR and all...
Pepp is home now. After spending 8 days in the hospital. They've dissolved and gotten the clots under control. Her arm will be sore for a few weeks I'm told, but she appears to be doing very well.
Thanks again for all your..."Best Wishes."

To all who wished me well
thanks so much for thinking of me and Gos and your prayers.
As Gos said I just got released from prison today, then we had to go to Lexington to see a specialist and finally I am back home after 8 days of pure hell.
I won't be weighing in too much here or getting around to all your blogs like I would like to so my apologies to all, but I'm not quite up to much as yet.
I've got tons of more doctor visits and testing to be done yet, so I'll be at doctor's and hospitals more than I'll be here on the blogs.
In the meantime I'll see if I can get Gos to do some more rants. He usually is up to plenty of those. LOL!
Thanks again for your good wishes.

Sorry to hear about your clots. I hope you feel better fast. And your arm's not too swollen. Stay away from hospitals. They're deadly.

Pepp, welcome home, it's good to hear you're home. Try to take it easy and get plenty of rest until you regain your strength. We'll continue to pray that your testing and Dr. visits go well and all turns out ok.
Remember one day at a time!

Thanks for the encouragement. One day at a time is something I need to be reminded of constantly. I'm not liking waiting on tests etc.
Thanks again.

Yeah, I found that out that hospitals are deadly. I hate being in them and I know you should know being a doctor yourself.
Thanks.
