Thanks for the laugh! I needed one.
Do you get as annoyed as I do with Crist that he will not support drilling of the coast of Fl? What bizarre notions are floating around in the empty heads of these nitwit politicians that they think it's better to have China and Mexico drill in the gulf but not the US?!
Hope your husband is recovering nicely. : )

Yes I am annoyed with all of the politicians who will not support drilling. To the best of my knowledge there hasn't been a beach spoiled by the oil rigs off the coast, so I think this is a phony argument. And you are right...to have China and Mexico drilling when we are not is stupid and ridiculous.
Thank you for asking...husband is doing well...fully recovered, but getting old. :-)))

Just wait
As soon as gasoline prices rise a little higher and the politicians sense their jobs are on the line they'll be drilling everywhere. any eco-types of polar bears who get in the way will be squashed. If we're going to abandon the Middle East we MUST drill in North America.

I am hoping the price of gas will start the drilling. Something had better.
It's been obvious for a long time that we needed to start getting our own oil, but politicians are stupid. And I am so tired of their stupidity (among their other faults).

emjayne,
Right on my friend! Drilling our own resources could mean energy independence in ten years or less. Let's keep harping on them, sign the petition to allow drilling that Newt Gengrich has on his site. Send letters to your congressmen, keep blogging. IE, Keep on Keepin' on.
Thanks for your post,
Glenn Flowers

I already sent letters to my congressmen on the oil situation and demanding that they support drilling in ANWR and off the coasts.
I will be happy to sign .

I am sorry...I should have written in the post that I was not the author. Mea culpa.
It was an email I got and thought it was too good not to pass on.
But I am glad you liked it as much as I did.

Oil rigs are seen
from my father in laws house in Ventura out off shore, and in the 11 years I have known him not one has had even a small leak. The unwillingness to open up new sources is all about politics, and about legislating dependancy. It makes me so angry.

Just got back from vacation to more tornadoes on Thursday nite, and then recuperated yesterday for my b'day. I love this. I was thinking the same thing GG posted when I read it!
I have vacation photos and the saga of our vacation...part 1.
