YOU GOTTA LOVE CHICAGO

i hate it

when the Cubbies come to play the Reds here. The cub's fans take over the park and people get thrown out by the dozens. I avoid going to Cubs games here because of that. What can you say?

Dave

lol, I live in the Chicago area and I know there is nothing more delusional than a Cubs fan. I'm a Yankees fan myself and I wear a Yankee jersey quite a bit. Most of the year I had Cub fans talk smack to me like there even is a comparison between the two teams. One has a history of winning, the other a history of losing. They're cry babies too. They get offended if you talk smack about their beloved Cubs. That's probably why so many get kicked out at Reds games. I forgot to mention in my post that because of rabid Cub fans who thought they had no chance of not winning the WS, one shooting to death another, that Wrigley area bars had to ban the sale of alcohol after the 7th inning stretch. Only in Chicago

My best friend is a Red fan. We've always planned on going to a Reds game in Cincy. We'd be there hopefully when the Cubs come to town so we can talk about the fun I had at my "100 Years Without A World Series Title" party. Happens next weekend. Been in the works for three years

LOL Jesse

Let me know if you're coming to Cincy, maybe we'll have brew......

A Pretty Good Line

From Chicago comedian Tim Cavanagh. It's a bit dated, going back to the Soldier Field renovation, when the Bears played at the University of Illinois.

He said it was going to be a bad year for them, because, technically, they were the 'Champaign-Urbana Bears,' and in Chicago, C.U.B. spells 'loser.'

that is a good line

but no Chicagoan calls it "Soldier Field". They always say "Soldiers Field", even though it's wrong. They go to the batroom and not the bathroom. They eat sassages, not sausages. I should come up with a Chicago-English, English-Chicago translation book. I even have the accent down pat.
