My grandparents worked very hard and scrimped all their lives to build a nice retirement nest egg. Lincoln Savings assured them that these new investments were 'just as safe, but a much higher return.' Instead of spending their retirement traveling around the world, they ended up in a little trailer park for years until their other investments grew enough to help out. You are right; McCain cared more about lining his pockets than protecting senior citizen's investments. Maybe he thinks we don't remember, since all he now touts is the fact that he was a prisoner of war (hearing about a new governor of California???) and how conservative he is. But elephants have long memories...
