Unemployment Tops 10% in the Golden State

Gee, Sarge

Pretty accurate portrayal of the hardships of life out here on the Left Coast.

Very funny stuff!

Hahaha

The rich never have to cut back, Sarge. WTH? :)

After all, the trolls say it's so unfair that they might have to choose between chicken and PBJ!!

Those darn rich people still get to eat Filet mignon and drive their fancy cars because they got all the tax cuts!!

PS

I did see that Drudge had St. Louis in the headlines. I actually read some asshat's blog and he mocked the tea parties.

It ticked me off, because as you know, the Boston Tea Party started with 3% of the people and that even so, more supported the King, but who won out? Grrr!!

Try my blog later to see the pics...they aren't showing up and I am trying to fix it.

Dont Hold Yer Breath!

"...as soon as their unemployment benefits run out..."

The Most Compassionate Stimulus Bill has extended unemployment indefinitely. In CA the top weekly payout is $450. Believe me, I KNOW! Now I personally cant live on that kind of dough but if I dumped my expensive mortgage I could get by on it. If I stop paying my mortgage maybe I can get on board with that govt plan to help us poor victims and keeping those mean old banks from seizing the casa. And Food Stamps. Hey this isnt too bad! Maybe I can get some Medical Marijuana for free using my God-Given right to free, taxpayer-funded medical care. I could fake a back injury and get Medi-Cal to buy me an electric wheelchair so I can crazy-glue my bhong onto one of the arms of it and zoom around the house leaving a trail of smoke.Disability pays more, too. But does getting more on disability screw up your Food Stamps? I'll have to check that out. There's a big problem, I've got two jobs. That doesnt necessarily have to be a drawback. I can just start a business in Nevada using my brother's address and have the checks mailed to Vegas. i feel sorry for those dummies stocking up on shotgun shells and paying good money for old missile silos in Montana. Embrace the dream baby! Hope And Change!

Sgt. Relic

Well it ain't so great for us "common people" either, you know. Local Wally-World is out of ammo, some shelves are empty, some brand-name items disappearing. The only thing in abundance are Obama t-shirts. Go figure.

Seriously, great commentary. Really enjoyed it!

Mrs AL

"The only thing in abundance are Obama t-shirts."

Maybe we're all lucky some of the Change Deniers cant get their mitts on any ammo with all the Obama t-shirts walking around. Too tempting of a target.

Sgt.Relic

You left out the hookers,Sgt. Guy can't afford the Heidi Fleisses of the world while trying to support the trophy wife!mwaahahahahahaha Great post!

Sgt Relic

Good post and very funny, but don't be knocking Whole Foods. The mother shops there. Okay, the lady got a little misty when she heard they were closing Bristol Farms! What next?

At least my mom is not a plastic surgery woman. She is just hoping she gets her hair back after she finally got to end her chemo. Now I won't talk about the "real hair" wig that she had to buy that sits in the closet.:)

Brian

I recognize that hard times impact the beautiful people just like real people. I was so sad when during the last big recession, Kim Basinger was forced to sell her town in GA. I can imagine how that must have stung. HaHaHa!

Nee

Democrats are always the champions of class warfare. How many years now have we been listening to the "tax cuts for the rich" mantra?

The fact of the matter is; this is exactly the kind of conditions that allow the rich to become richer. Prices on housing, stocks, and other real goods are dropping and it's the wealth who buy this stuff up at bargain prices.

I'll try the pics later.

Skep

I'm happy to see you are getting you head right. You have an unfair advantage on many of us who have never lived the lefty experience.

I am so happy that I kept my Town Car since I may to live in it before long!

Mrs. AL

That's a trend. The hot ticket at the gun show this weekend was reloading supplies but I didn't see any Obama T's. Also, since the administration mumbled about an assault weapons ban, high capacity magazines were in short supply.

At least democrats are stimulating one segment of the economy...Gun Sales! HaHaHa!

Good catch clyde!

How could I have over looked the hookers? With California building a high speed rail system to Vegas they are going to be hard pressed to compete with Vegas hooker industry.

Something will have to be done, politicians can't keep all the hookers busy!

Sue

I can't really knock Whole Foods since I have never actuall seen one. I just hear everybody on the left coast talk about them just like they used to talk about Ralph's. We don't have trendy supermarkets in SE Virginia.

I thought about you when I wrote the OC bit but I was really mocking that horrible TV show my wife watches.

I hope your Mom is doing OK!

Hahaha, Sarge!

I wonder how those folks in that Georgia town felt about being owned by the lovely liberal Kim.

Its Gonna Get Worse

Later this year Unemployment will double or worse, hope Arnold can find gajillions more money to keep the free give aways running.

I have seen reports

that there is a drop in the divorce industry out there...cheaper to keep her!

Good stuff, Sarge

Crawfish

I have noticed some stiffening up in your posts you are not so wishy washy anymore,I apologize for any past remarks.

Sarge...

How do I get them up...I have done it before, but maybe with a Mac it's different? Thanks.

Sgt Relic

Hey I laugh. My mom is Shopaholic numero uno. In third grade, we were asked what we wanted to be, my friend stood up and said, she wanted to be my mom and order stuff from catalogues.

Oh the Housewives of Orange County. Yes, like they are all like that, please!
My parents actually live not to far from the housewife Laurie!

Mom is hanging in there. She is doing much better, she made it to Macy's the other day!

Our state still continues to go down. Like what else is new. And I see that Obama chose Kansas lady. Didn't she drag Kansas into the ground? No wonder Arnold is all excited about her. Ugh!

We're All Lefties Now!

"You have an unfair advantage on many of us who have never lived the lefty experience."

Hmmm....good idea for a post. Those of us who misspent our youths need to bring you other guys up to speed so you can make the most of the Obama Years.

Brian

It seemed to smack of slave times to me but as I recall they were pretty upset since she was supposed to turn the place into some kind of Aspen a la Redford.

I don't know if she actually owned the towns people, I think that's illegal now, even in GA.

Donnie

Maybe Arnuld can start paying the illegals in pesos, unless of course pesos are worth more than our dollar these days.

Crawfish

Aren't NV divorces cheaper? How about Mexico? Maybe it just reflects the marriage rate?

As soon as prop 8 is somehow overturned the trial lawyers will have all those gay divorces to handle which should help out the economy.

Nee

Mac or PC shouldn't make a difference. The Url address should begin with http:// and set a path to the pics. In the TH post editor you click on the chain link looking icon and paste the URL into the appropriate box.

Give me a throw away email address and I'll send you a screen shot of the process.

Sue

That's the show. Let me ask: If these are trophy wives what the h*ll kind of contest did these guys enter anyway?

Sebelius! I looks bad for the unborn or perhaps those not yet 2 years of age. I'm not sure where she draws the line on killing children.

I am married to a shopaholic, her only problem is the lack of a rich husband. HaHaHa!

Oh wise and generous Skep

Teach us, lead us, we await your words of wisdom! Yes We Can! (drool)

Sarge

"I am married to a shopaholic, her only problem is the lack of a rich husband. HaHaHa!"

My wife deserves a lot of credit...but she'll take cash!

Henny Youngman

Sgt Relic

You know the funny thing is, these women cake so much make-up themselves. I saw Tamra at a grocery story awhile back. She has some bad skin! Laurie's daughter goes riding at the stables down the road.

I am not sure what contest they won. I just laugh when people ask me, is this really every one? No! But, you have to love that they are Republicans and Laurie's husband gives big bucks to the party.

Governor of Kansas, WTH? This woman dumped her state into doom, that abortion thing and that doctor, Ugh! Now all we need is for Obama to give the governor of Michigan a large post. Another award winner, NOT!

Skep

I know that she knows what cash looks like since she's a banker but she can't figure out how to get it into the computer. I swear I've seen the woman pay for a cup of coffee with an ATM card.

Sue

"you have to love that they are Republicans and Laurie's husband gives big bucks to the party"

That's a tricky question. Isn't your Governor supposed to be a Republican? We have republicans like that here in Virginia, we call them democrats. LOL!

The problem California has is that everything the rest of country knows about the place comes from the entertainment industry. The South suffers in much the same way. Allow me to state for the record that I have all my teeth! HaHa!

I see that Obama is still having trouble finding "patriotic" democrats. His trade rep. nominee apparently hasn't paid his taxes in a decade. If I owed the IRS $10k for ten years they would have put in jail already - but not democrats!

Hahahaha, Sarge

Well, maybe at heart I'm a sellout, but if Kim wants to own me, I guess I'll be her boy-toy.

Sgt Relic

There is a small amount of Republicans left in the OC. They are the "Rich, white folk." Laurie just pretends with George. But, her husband has been a big donor for years. But on one of the shows they asked Vicki, Laurie and Jeanna who they voted for and they said, "Bush." They also said they had no regrets.

The representative in one area, John Campbell, he has a lot of them as donors. And he has been pretty good. He is against earmarks. Shocking. He also said that one of the reasons he voted against porkapalooza was, they sent him a list of what CA would get and it all went to government programs. He said it just added another reason for him to vote against it.

Arnold just pretends he is a Republican. He has no clue what he is at all.

Sarge, I Love Reading About California..

It just confirms my reasons for staying in the South.

BTW, gun stores are rapidly selling out of ammo and guns here in Missisippi too! Also my local Wally World has racks and racks of Obama "T" shirts. No one, I repeat, no one is buying them. Ditto for the various books on Obama. Wally World here has reduced the price on the books by 60% and still can't sell them.

Brian

You are such a pushover! Are you certain you want a woman who voluntarily married Alec Baldwin?

Dude! I thought gorgeous blonds grew on trees in California. HaHaHa!

Sue

I'll give 'em a pass since Campbell, with a lifetime 93% ACU rating, seems to be a solid conservative even when he's in DC.

What did he vote for that lost him 8 points last year?

there are logical people in california

unfortunately they are outnumbered by self loving sycophants and Hollyweird! I'm wondering, when will they come back to the planet earth and live in reality? It makes it worse that many of those liberal Californians are moving out here, and showing their "higher class" to us "lower people." I think the mile high altitude brings out a mile high attitude. Great post.

Ghost

With apologies to our conservative friends in CA, it just too easy to bust on a state that gives us Red Nanny, Boxer, Feinstein, and Henry Waxman just to mention a few.

At least Wally-World still sells ammo unlike K-Mart that buckled to PC pressure years ago.

Wouldn't it be the height of irony if W-Mart went under due to overstock Obama gear?

Eric

Thanks for stopping by. I know exactly what you mean. Virginia has been invaded by NE liberals escaping from their liberal overlords and what's the first thing they do when they get here?

Raise taxes and pander for a Nanny state!

It's like they say, no matter where you go, there you are.

Sgt Relic

I think he lost the 8% with the "not voting." But I am not sure. Now he did not vote for the mortgage thing. I have to go back and look, but there are a few things he has not voted on and I would like to know why.

In my mom's district, it's Calvert. He is a pork guy, but I have to say he has been back many times to have townhall's to discuss the spending. I think he may have some pork in the omnibus. He also does the phone calls where you can call in and all chat with him live.

Sue

I know the earmark and pork spending have grown to become synonymous because of the abuses of that process we are all familiar with, such as bridges to nowhere.

I watch my representatives earmarks very carefully. An earmark is not always bad practice.

For example: my representative sits on the Armed Forces committee and represents an area with world's largest Naval base, a Navy master jet base, a couple Army bases, and several Marine facilities.

His earmarks are usually driven by the requirements of those bases. As he put it: he can earmark the money for pier repair of hope SecDef decides to do it.

The day that those earmarks start turning into something like the Pungo Strawberry Festival Museum, he and I are gonna' have a chat!

Sarge, what can I say?

If they grow on tress, I can't find that forest on my GPS.

I keep finding myself wandering around the Ugly Forest.

New Age Survival

Sarge. I've written a little survival guide to bring you Bush-era Puritans up to speed with the Tidal Wave of Obamanism that is about to swamp the economy. Stop on by!

Sgt. Relic

I caught your video at Interface's. That trooper was priceless!

Here's one for you about why no one trusts the French:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RvboeCp8Gqs&NR=1

Aww, Brian!

Now you have gone and shaken my faith in sunny California. Do you mean to tell me that I have fallen for deceptive advertising?

Does this mean that the check I'm expecting from the former Nigerian Minister's estate may not be coming? HaHaHa!

HaHaHa!

Ghost. I've seen that one before and it's a classic!!

Now you know why it doesn't take the Germans more than a long weekend to conquer France. At least French weapons making incompetence saved those guys lives.....it was dud!

Sgt Relic

There are some earmarks that I do agree with. And I am all for anything that benefits the military.

It seems that the majority in this bill are so over the top, between cloning, stinky swine, etc.

Sue

I agree, the pork gets absolutely ridiculous. I'm not saying that the military is incapable of wasting money since I've witnessed it first hand on many occasions.

For example: We had a facility at Norfolk VA called NARF (later NADEP) whose function was repairing F-14's. They closed the facility, which had been in existence at least since my father worked there during WWII, and moved everything to Jacksonville FL to serve Cecil Field.

They then closed Cecil Field and moved the jets to NAS Oceana in Virginia Beach located about 20 miles (or 40 seconds by air) from the old NARF facility but they left NADEP in Jacksonville. WTH???

Most of that is politics not DOD since every politician wants to score the payroll these military members and civil service employees represent for their area. It's the ultimate pork!
