Piyush "Bobby" Jindal

Yep

This guy and those like him are the future of the GOP if it's ever going to get its acto together and start winning elections again.

STape & Brian: He has my vote

One small correction, I believe he is first generation Indian(Punjabe)- American. His parents are immigrated from India.

Brian, Mildred

Brian: I like him. But he will catch Hell for some of the stuff he has done. Not that it would be any different for someone else.

Mildred: I had first generation American at first then changed it to 2nd because I thought I had it wrong. I'll fix that. thanks.

I did not know that much about him. Thank you for the infor. I can't believe he ran against Blanco(no clue) and lost. Bet those people in Louisiana were bummed when Katrina hit and Blanco (do nothing) and Nagin (more do nothing) were in charge.

Very interesting history. I did hear the "Bobby Brady" story when he was doing an interview. I did think that was funny.

He looks good to me for the future. He has some baggage which of course he would get ripped for. Now if he was the chosen one Obama, all of that would be one big free pass!

I agree with you. My concern with Jindal is that he wanted to waffle on the pay raise and only backed down when threatened by the people. But that may have been a wake up call for him, also. And the change he made in Louisiana was dramatic. It would be be great if he could accomplish that in DC.

He seems to know what he is doing. And even though the tax thing was not great, he did back down. But, overall, he really has done a lot. A lot more than Blanco.

I still can't believe he ran against Blanco and lost. But then again, these people voted Nagin back in as Mayor, so I can see that.

Hey, I wouldn't mind having him as Gov myself. Our Gov, Arnold, has us in such a deep deficit hole, I am not sure when we will see the light of day.
