Oath Keepers

Dean D.

Thanks so much for posting that link, just spent the last 20 minutes reading, meditating on the content, and thanking God for the men and women who uphold their Constitutional Oaths.

Powerful stuff, my prayer is for this to be well organized and far reaching.

Good to 'see' ya around Townhall, Dean.

God Bless, as always.

"The time is now near at hand which must probably determine, whether Americans are to be, Freemen, or Slaves..."

Socialism is the road to slavery to the state. We are now at the precipice with millions praising those who will enslave us. One day the masses in this country will say "We didn't know" which is just another way to say " We were ignorant fools."

Oath Keepers

Thanks for the link Dean.

Thanks

Thanks Jennifer, Stefano, Cindy.

The link I posted and the organization it represents is an important one in my opinion. I don't know about anyone else but just knowing there is a group in our military, who sees what is happening and is ready to refuse unlawful orders, makes me sleep just a wee bit better at night.

When I enlisted in the military I took an oath to "protect and defend the Constitution of the United States of America from all enemies, foreign OR DOMESTIC." Upon discharge I was not relieved of this oath in any way to my knowledge and to me it still applies. It is a sad state of affairs when a person must consider his own government a domestic enemy. I personally am very close to this conclusion.

Best wishes and fight the good fight.

thanks for the link

"Our oath is to the Constitution, not to the politicians, and not to any political party."

Wise words, ringing true in my ears. Something that should be remembered, especially when our constitution is compromised. What democrats I've talked to lately don't get is.. that we'd all be yelling the same things, regardless of political affiliation, even if a republican was attempting the very same things Obama's set out to do. Our constitution should be upheld, as it helped shape our great country to the superpower it is today. Again, thanks for the link.

Eric

Amen, you have hit the nail right on the head.

Thank you for stopping by and adding to the discussion.

Gone Fishing????

Hope things improve in down in the basement very soon, DD! Thanks for posting this! It is very thoughtful, full of truths and I agree with it entirely!

Thanks for stopping by and commenting.

I am sure any show of support the Oath Keepers can get from our citizens will be a tremendous help to them and very much appreciated. I believe there is a place on their site to leave comments.

I'm not ready to leave the basement and blog regularly but I have been lurking and do comment occasionally. My blood pressure still cannot take too much at one time though.

God Bless, Dean

This is fantastic. Thanx so much for taking the time to post this for us. To be blunt, this answers some concerns I have in the current environment. The Blue Helmeted Demons don’t concern me as much as those in our own uniforms sometimes. I have been reading (thanx to other bloggers) about some of the goings on right here in the States.

I will access this link again and will pass it along to others in my personal address book.

Thanx again. And please take care of that BP (like I should talk) as your voice and insights are needed.

Mrs. AL

Thank you for stopping by.

I am happy that you felt the same small sense of relief as I did when I found that site. It is good to know that the same sense of honor and integrity is still alive in our military as it was when I was a member of the armed forces.

Thank you for passing that link around, it is important that we show our support for these brave patriots.

LOL, my BP does fine as long as I do not view the news! A little at a time for now though.

Best wishes to you and yours!

Thank you very much

for this link, Dean. I'm on a slow-moving computer at the moment, but as soon as I'm on one capable of getting enough speed, I'll look the entire thing over.

As you mentioned you served, perhaps you could answer something for me. I am a life-long civilian, and am wondering: Is there any sort of protocol for a civilian honoring a uniformed member of any branch of the armed forces? I occasionally have noted groups of uniformed officers at a restaurant I enjoy frequenting, and would appreciate knowing if there is some specific way I could show my respect for them without intruding upon their meals.

Sorry, strike

'officers' and replace with 'servicemen'. I should have proofread that better. I apologize for the error.

Ender

Thanks for stopping by Bud, I'm happy to hear you are going to check out the Oath Keepers site.

I don't know of any specified protocol but as for myself I just walk up, stick out my hand and say "Thank you for your service to our country (insert soldier, marine, airman or sailor here). If they are having dinner you might want to just say "Excuse me, I don't mean to interupt but I just wanted to thank you for your service."

The last time I flew, I saw a soldier sitting on his duffle waiting on a flight in the Denver airport. I thanked him for his service, slipped him a $10 bill and told him to go buy himself a beer on me.

I guess to me, it is not what you say but rather that you put forth the effort to thank our men and women in uniform that counts. Little things like that mean a lot.

Hi Dean

You must have one heck of a fishing hole in that basement!

Thank you for posting this. I just got done going through it. Very nice.
