Will We Put the "Internationalists" in Power?

Welcome back

Good to see you back in action! I'll certainly be there bright and early next Tuesday. And wasn't that nice of Kerry to remind us all what this election's about?

Sheila

Where have you been?!?! Good post and I will join you at the polls.

I'll feel queasy

I'll be there and I'll vote, but my stomach will be grumbling and it won't be from hunger.

Best the Enemy of the Good

Hopefully all those disgruntled Conservatives out there who are contemplating not voting as a protest or just out of disgust with the failure of the Congress to be as Conservative as they might wish, will realize that the best is the enemy of the good, and that victories are rarely total and complete. Rather success is incremental, and the Republicans are our best hope of succeeding in saving this country from Liberal dogma. We cannot waver now, but need to keep moving forward and that means we need to defeat the Dems bid for control of Congress.

Internationalists....

...good call. What I think voters fail to remember/know is not only are they voting for Reps and Senators, but also chairmanships, judges, and many other appointments throughout our government. It's more than just these individuals on the ticket.

Welcome back. I thought you got in trouble and was grounded from the computer.

Good to see you back!...

Telling it like it is as usual. Not mincing any words.

Very good comments too.

It seems to me...

... that the only argument any of the columnists, and in fact also most of the posters, can put forward for voting for the Republicans is how calamitous a defeat would be.

In other words, a lot of arguments based on voting against something else, rather than real reasons to vote FOR the Republicans.

Essentially, a huge negative campaign.

How about some positive campaigning, say about how great the Republicans are on the issues? Oh, wait... that's right... at the moment they're not.

That is EXACTLY why the R party needs to get its act together.

While I'm on the subject, see "Me and my Armey" on my blog, and you can see Dick Armey's take on the subject (click on my name).

HOWEVER, on the flip side

If you don't vote Republican, Darth Vader will use the Death Star to destroy the planet.

LOL

Makes about as much sense as some of the other stuff I've read and heard over the last few weeks.

Hi everyone!

Thanks for your comments! I've been away and haven't been able to get to the computer...now that I'm home, will try to catch up!

Scatbug!

Thanks for checking in with your comments! Glad to hear from you.

Yes Kerry brings back the reality of who these people are on the Left...he is a disgrace to the Senate of the United States.

James Biga

I know we haven't gotten all that we want yet, but we can work to get there if we hold onto the majority.

Thanks for stopping by, it's good to hear from you.

JDComments

"victories are rarely total and complete"...exactly. We can't make all the changes overnight.

You said it well..."we cannot waver now, but keep moving forward...the republicans are our best hope of succeeding in saving the country from Liberal dogma...I couldn't agree more!

Thanks for visiting and commenting! It's good to hear from you!

Jimmy Carter

I'm with you, Jimmy, it's so critical to remember what you say. We are not just voting for Reps and Senators, "but also chairmanships, judges, and many appointments throughout government"...thanks for the reminder!

Good to hear from you, and thanks for those comments! I agree.

Sandra Wise

Thanks for stopping by! It's good to hear from you!

BrianR

The things to vote For are all the things the conservatives got through...tax cuts resulting in higher revenues, national security, good economy, less abortions, no gay marriage, Conservative justices on the Supreme Court and lower courts, going after the terrorists, no attacks since 9-11.

That's a positive campaign!

If we don't hold a majority we lose our gains, and have no chance to get school choice, borders strengthened, social security reform, immigration laws upheld. It will all be lost, plus we get Internationalists like Kerry, Carter et al, who go abroad to bash our country and aid our enemies cause. It's a lose lose scenario...

Guess we're still not on the same page...but still friends...LOL. I'll check your blog...still catching up...

BrianR

Darth Vader will need some help from Speaker Pelosi...:)

You bet I will

Be joining you that is.

I htink the coutnry will be too. I think that we wil wake up on november 8 and both the house and senate will be in republican hands. The polls don;t show it I know but I just don;t beleive anything that the polls have to say right now.

I could be wrong..but I am strangly calm about the outcome on nov 7.

Prysson

Great to hear it! I agree about the polls. The MSM is working too hard to get the Dems elected, and the pollsters never call me or anyone I know, so it makes me wonder who they're talking to!...:)

Also, Bush's people seem very confident based on their information about local campaigns around the country.

Thanks for checking in and commenting! I think you're right about Nov.8.

Arm in arm...virtually

Sheila, I'll be voting early do my part to assure the MSM we're not sitting this one out. Hopefully this will prevent their touting low turnout in hopes of discouraging end-of-day voters.

Liked the part about the internationalists. This reminds me how important education system reform is. The reason so many support the socialist/internationalist ideology is that a couple generations have been force-fed their pablum. Model U.N. etc...

The internationalists like Kerry seem utterly oblivious to the fact that there exists not a single successful example of socialism in all of earthly human history - and plenty of examples of brutality, loss of rights, starvation, environmental degradation, unfree press, etc...

We cannot long survive those types of people.

Marcus

"Arm in arm...virtually"...good one!

It's true, where has the Leftist internationalist/socialist ideology worked in the world?...They want to try it here...

Education has had a lot to do with this mentality, because our history and heritage is maligned and socialist ideals are praised in the government schools.

That's why it's so critical to keep the momentum going and keep the majority, so we can get school choice passed. It's the only way to get schools on the right track...with competition.

Great points! I appreciate your comments! See ya at the polls...virtually.:)

Here's to victory on election day! Let's give the MSM heartburn!...:)

When it comes to internationalists

keep in mind that their priority is not to actually elevate the United States in the global community, but to simply win elections by sitting on the sideline like some malcontent and complain about what other people are doing.

Need proof? Just consider the deafening sound of silence from this past week regarding the fact that the adminstration caused North Korea to blink and agree top return to six party talks.

You're right

Christian...the goal is shared super power status...and as far as North Korea blinking..."the deafening sound of silence" from the Left is quite eye opening...

That's why this electon is so critical!

Thanks for stopping by and commenting. It's always good to hear your perspective!

Thanks...

...for swinging by. What we are going to do is vote Republican and immediately following we will start holding their feet to the fire to do the will of the CHRISTIAN MAJORITY.

gregmc

Thanks for commenting...we need to keep the pressure on our representatives, once they are in office, to get the job done! It's critical that our voice be heard!

I want to give the MSM heartburn on Tuesday...they think they've already won the election for the Left...they are going to be surprised...:)

SPECIAL THANKS FOR "INSERT FOOT" COMMENT

Sheila -- thank you so much for your compliments. I do like to add a little ascerbic humor -- especially in a case where it is so obvious that for all his posturings, John Kerry may once have been an officer, but he surely is no gentleman.

It's also my opinion that it's too late to try. The donkey has already left the barn.

AND A P.S.

I had one heck of a time trying to find your site -- kept getting these "the page you requested cannot be found..." I'm glad I finally got here.

Thanks again.

The movement towards internationalism

There is definitely a cultural and civic movement in the U.S. towards an implicit if misguided trust in the full spectrum of international conventions, from looking to Brussels as the seat of wisdom on global warming to genuflecting at the altar of the International Criminal Court, and permitting the outmoded Geneva Conventions to govern our treatment of non-citizen enemy combatants.

Every movement in that direction erodes the foundational principles that have held our Republic together for over 225 years. This phenomenon is abetted by our educational system which inculcates our children with multiculturalism and unthoughtful notions of egalitarianism.

Finally, when the Supreme Court mentions the need for U.S. law to nominally comport with international law--which it has--we can be assured that the trend is heading in the wrong direction.

Frigglesnitz

I enjoyed reading your post! I'll be back to check often!

Thanks for stopping by!

Frigglesnitz

About your PS, seems several of us are having some challenges with the technicals...glad you made it through! Hopefully Townahll is checking to see what's up!

ClearComentary.com

It's critical that we not allow the Internationlist mentality to take hold, and undermine our national sovereignty.

The Leftist Internationalists do not have our national interest at heart.

Your comments are well stated! I appreciate you commenting.:)

I've changed my mind

about Tuesday's election. For about a year I had
my mind made up that I would sit-out this election. Not now! I'll be voting for the
republicans. I'm angry at them, angry at their
lack of leadership......but I'll be voting
republican on Tuesday. Why? Because of Senator
Abu Musab al Zar Kerry, that's why!!!!!!!!!!!!

Glad to hear it!

You got it! I think Kerry has demonstrated what the dems are all about, and it's confirmed the fact that we need to continue our momentum so we can get more of our agenda passed!

We definitely don't want Internationalists like "al Zar Kerry" as you put it, running this country in a critical time in our history!

Thanks for checking in, and commenting! Glad you changed your mind!:) We can make a difference for the good of our country.

Well, Sheila

Since this is still up as your current essay, and I stopped by again, you might want to take a look at my current effort, posted tonight (out here in CA), "Looking ahead to two Tuesdays: 7 Nov 2006, 4 November 2008".

I make my predictions!

Karnack resurrected!

Ed

My prediction has been next Tuesday will set participation records for an off year election. Your post supports my hope and belief, May there be millions like you who see we are at a particularly divergent fork in the road. As BrianR has observed, there is always the possibility of a Dewey/Truman repeat where the talking heads completely miss the mood of the voters. A crushing defeat for the D's would have enormous repercussions, and not all good. The best would probably be keep it close, with pros and cons on each side of whether small D or R majority. Play for time until 08, but the countries conservatives are going to have to battle like beavers to get more conservative candidates on the books. And remember, money talks.

Sheila

You are so right. I for one have already voted by absentee ballot. As I said on my blog, a non-vote is a vote for democrats and terrorism.

I think the Dems

are in for a surprise Tuesday. I look forward to seeing them shift through the ashes to see if they can find anything remaining of their ambitions. Sorry. Wait. Was that not compassionate of me?

Cynewulf

"Not compassionate" at all Cyne...where's your heart????...:)

Gamecock

Thanks for the heads up, I'll check that out!
See you at the polls!...:)

Gamecock

Unbelievable...I just read your links. Everyone should read both before the election...if the party of CLinton ever has total power, we will see the end of America as we know it.

Thanks for the info, and for stopping by. I hope anyone who stops by here will click onto your links and read.

Maggie

Great to hear form you, and glad to hear you voted for the right party early!

We can't let the Left try to manipulate this election by pulling every trick in the book to get us to stay home...we will surprise them, as Cynewulf said!

Also, thanks for helping out with Sandra's technical problems, she did get back on!

Gamecock

I just read your links. They more than confirm my opinion of Bill Clinton.

Sheila,

I'm glad Sandra is back on. It can be frustrating.

Sheila,

I've got a new post on my blog. Let me know what you think.

Hey Cyne!

I'm heading over to your blog!

I'VE ALREADY JOINED YOU!

Thanks to Maggie for recommending this particular blog. And thanks to Maggie, too, for saying she'd already voted by absentee ballot.

Thanks to Townhall, I was easily persuaded to vote by absentee ballot. I obtained applications for the ballots for my husband and myself; we filled them out properly, then faxed them to our local election office -- with a couple of hours to spare!

We obtained absentee ballots in the mail the very next day.

We sat down with real paper ballots, marked them properly, then mailed them back in a -- get this! -- self-addressed, STAMPED envelope! Our government truly at work this time.

The ballots were in the mailbox the next day; now all we are doing is crossing our fingers that the ballots got where they were supposed to go and will be counted as they should. It takes a certain amount of trust.

But then it would take a certain amount of trust just to go to the polling place, too, what with new equipment that just may not work as planned.

I've been around long enough to remember going into a voting booth, pulling a lever drawing a curtain behind me, then marking boxes with X's. The crosses of the X's were required to be within the borders of the boxes, or they would not count. I was very careful to make sure my little X's were well within their surrounds.

Ah, well, times they are a-changin', and I do try to keep up. After all, I'm sitting here at my computer writing this comment. And I have the world practically at my fingertips -- and Sheila just a comment away!

Happy Voting Day to all!

Frigglesnitz!

Wow, that's great! Way to go! It is rather fun to get it done early!

I'm not watching any news until all the votes are in! I don't want to hear from the "experts" all day on the MSM, trying to influence the vote. It would be great if everyone would do that!

When AlGore was running against Bush,I was out walking my precinct and people were coming out telling me Gore had already been announced the winner! It was around 5:00 California time! I think Bush would have literally had a huge landslide, but many people didn't vote thinking AlGore had already won!

People need to be aware that the influence peddlers are going to try every trick in the book to keep them from voting!

Let's pray for an overwhelming victory!

Happy voting! May God continue to bless America!
