Comment on: JINGOIST'S Corner

A Winning Strategy For Conservatives.

You're right. Mitt is far from perfect but he's emerging as the consensus choice. I dont think that any of us want Clinton III or the specter of an Obama administration. This will bring us together. What we've learned from Bush is that we cant relax our activism even with a Republican in the White House.

EXACTLY Skep!

Here's something important I forgot to mention. Big corporate money would, generally speaking, prefer to go to the Republican ticket. If those corporations sense Republican division and weakness it will flow to the Dems as "protection" money for lack of a better term. I've seen it happen. We had better get our act together SOON! If you agree with me feel free to e-mail this around with my blessings, it's too important. Thanks again.

Excellent Points

I favor Fred Thompson and hope he does well in SC this Saturday. But if he does not -- if either McCain or Huckabee win SC in strong fashion -- then we as conservatives face a serious question we have to answer before Super Tuesday: Do we want a Clinton Clone as the GOP nominee?

That is what we will get if either McCain or Huckabee win the GOP nomination.

The only other candidate that has a chance of stopping that from happening is Romney. He has enough appeal, enough organization, and enough money to pull it off. He is also the only one of the three who has a chance of winning in November, 2008.

Either McCain or Huckabee will be a disaster for the GOP. They may pull in some independents and maybe a few evangelical Democrats but the conservative base will stay home on election day.

So, if Thompson does not pull it out in SC, I will have to begin supporting Romney. I suggest other conservatives consider doing that, as well. I do not want to see the GOP go down in flames in November, giving the Democrats Congress and the White House, and I do not want to be part of the reason that happens. I hope other Republicans will make that same choice.

In summary: No to McCain or Huckabee. Yes to Romney.

As usual Prairie Wind we are on the same

wavelength. McCain and the Huckster would DEVASTATE our base turnout far more than the stragglers they'd attract. Please feel free to pass this around to all of your friends and family WITH your opinion attached. You and I must do what we can to avert this looming disaster.

Hey Jingo...Chomp is here!

Are we doomed to repeat the Clintons? I dread to think that Clinton, any Clinton, would be a repeat. Didn't we already repeat with two terms of The Bill. Now The Hill...with The Bill. Will Chelsea be next? This is too much for me. I am going to rest by head. Too much thinking. I'll be back later.

I hope not Chomp.

We can avert disaster if we get behind Mitt. My boy Fred didn't cut it yesterday in SC.
