To Hell With Private Charity

Excellent post, RE! So many people cannot give from their hearts willingly because they have been mandated to pay-up by pbho. Many don`t have enough to provide for their own families, let alone the most needy among us.

We live in Mexico but if I was in the US, I would be at the nearest Tea Party! Also like the idea of Pork Roasts! Always have loved BBQ!

Right, instead of giving l0% to the church and
charitable donations, after paying excessive taxes, who will have money left over for the needy? RobinHood Obama is taking from the upper income folks and rich ( although $25l,000. etc., is far from very rich) to give to the lower incomes and poor. Christians try to give ten percent to the church they support but its not likely in this bad economy with taxes on the rise! King Obama the great, how did we ever live without your wisdom, experience, accomplish-ments, knowledge above all others? Oops, I'm being premature in giving Obama that credit. Maybe someday the misguided emptysuit will live up to the hope his smitten, dependent minded, wishful thinking groupies have, from believing everything they hear. For now its blind faith and a false sense of security! I'm afraid they will learn the hard way that the mouthpiece Obamas talk is cheap! His gift of gab has snowed/fooled the best of em! God help us! When I was a Canadian living in the United States I was often struck by the generosity of Americans. I don't agree that my life in Canada would be considered "mediocre", and I don't think that the problem is that Canadians have less to give. I have often wondered about the discrepancies between how much Canadians give to charities as opposed to their American neighbors. On this point I think you're right to some degree. When I examine my own reasons for not giving to charity (or giving comparatively little), I have to admit that my thoughts lean towards the explanation that it's not my job to look after the poor, it's the job of the federal and provincial governments. I'm really not sure what spawned this idea and I can't say that I'm proud of it, but I'm not convinced it can be blamed on high taxation.
