Can a House be Haunted?

Jesus plainly taught that there are evil spirits.

Perhaps part of the The Lord's Prayer can be seen as asking for protection against evil.

I know it is important to keep the commandments and to pray always for His Spirit to be with us.

I also know it is important to keep the spirit of His teachings and have charity in our hearts towards all people. (It is an attitude of seeing the good in each other - not suggesting that we not have appropriate personal boundaries or become doormats.)

'Perfect love casteth out fear' is a principle of having faith and walking in the light of His love. Even David of old prayed "The Lord is my shepherd...." as we all have need of spiritual courage and faith.

Evil is real. But the Savior is Lord of all so we need not fear, but trust in Him. Job's declaration of faith is the reality of the next life and of seeing the Savior, "....though after my skin worms consume this body, yet in my flesh shall I see God:" Job 19: 25-26 is our model when life gets rough and evil seems to have the upper hand.
