First of all, kudos to your rescue/adoption of SusieQ! What a great dog!

Now, as to 'Jacksonville's Finest'...

I have a friend who used to live on Green St. just off King St. One morning he was leaving for work (yes, a working, tax-paying, contributor to society) and as he pulled out from the stop sign at Green on to King, he was almost immediately pulled over and cited for speeding. Now, I know there are some vehicles that can accelerate that fast, but my friend's 4-banger Mitsubishi is not one of those. As he was being cited he pointed out that there were folks selling crack cocaine less than two blocks away. The officer's response was something like 'Yeah, well, I know but...'

I've also seen a dozen or more police cars lined up on the southbound side of Southside Blvd. at JTB simply to catch people coming home from work exceeding the speed limit. How many cruisers are patroling the areas of town where gunfire can be heard on a regular basis. My guess is none.
