The local news in Colorado Springs makes the comment that Iraq is in a civil war then plays the clip with Gen Abizaid who states that "we risk a civil war" but thinks it can be prevented.
This happens quite a bit.

Media Bias
The problem I have is that media sources deceitfully make claims of impartiality.
Example: http://www.mediaresearch.org/rm/dishonor/2004/raines0220/segment1.ram
New York Times Executive Editor Howell
Raines assured the American people, "Our greatest accomplishment as a
profession is the development since World War II of a news reporting
craft that is truly non-partisan, and non-ideological, and that
strives to be independent of undue commercial or governmental
influence....But we don't wear the political collar of our owners or
the government or any political party. It is that legacy we must
protect with our diligent stewardship. To do so means we must be aware
of the energetic effort that is now underway to convince our readers
that we are ideologues. It is an exercise of, in disinformation, of
alarming proportions, this attempt to convince the audience of the
world's most ideology-free newspapers that they're being subjected to
agenda-driven news reflecting a liberal bias."
And then .. Is The New York Times a Liberal Newspaper?
"Of Course it is." says the PUBLIC EDITOR, DANIEL OKRENT

Media Bias
I am convinced that the media bias is not just a fluke or a sign of the times per se but a deliberate infiltration by globalists who find a patriotic country based on Christian values (but NOT a Christian country!) distasteful.
Conspiracy theory? Not necessarily but I think there are enough of these kind of people that would think nothing of changing this country to fit their ideology.
