Comment on: Conservatives for McCain

McCain Picks up a ‘King’ of an Endorsement

McCain and Global Warming

The problem with McCain is that he shares Al Gore's views on global warming

That's only one of the problems

McCain is the darling of the "Drive by media." You never know what he is going to say to get their attention. He recently accused Bush of misrepresenting the Iraq war.

McCain on the Environment

Arayem, McCain's record on the environment is about where you would want a Republican- protecting the environment, but not to the destructive levels the liberals want.
http://www.issues2000.org/Senate/John_McCain.htm#Environment

Regardless, if your biggest issue is the environment- then maybe McCain isn't the best candidate for you. He is the best candidate for Republicans who want someone they can trust to be pro-life, good on national security, and a fiscal hawk.

LOL

Dan have you been smoking something recently?

It makes me laugh when you say us liberals are the destructive ones when it comes to the environment.

You conservatives won't support clean water, won't support clean air, wont' support hydrogen cars and alternative energy, continue to back the rich oil grabbing CEO's.......
Continue to help legislation that allows for more destruction of our roadless areas and allow for more land developments...when we should be protecting out land. This is ridiculous. You cut funding for state and national parks and things that are important to the majority of americans and then you B8*tch and moan about us doing anything about global warming. Listen ever since the 1800's we have had an exponential increase, the most rapid exponential increase ever..in the history of man - in the temperature of the planet. How long are you republican conservatives going to wait before you realize we need to do something? Maybe when half of antarctica is gone and the arctic is gone...and our averge winters are 50 degrees and up...and it floods alll the time with no snow to replenish our water supplies. Maybe you'll wait until the florida everglades and half of louisian and south florida - or a major city like Miami is underwater or on the edge of being underwater. What will it take for you people to CARE about future generations and realize that we should all help protect the ONLY planet we have. We don't have another planet to go to...if we use up all our resrouces we're screwed. And while technology might one day solve the problems, we need to act quicker than that. Waiting and doing nothing , imposing now government control over what peopl ecan do to our planet is WRONG. We need to fix our environmental problems now, help protect our wildlife and our planet, and make sure we get away from polluting sources of energy like oil. It appals me that you people think us liberals are the ones who are "destroying" things when your legislation is destroying our planet ....(Oh and btw, yes there are climate cycles, but this is the first time its been exponential, skyrocketing out of control. Over the next few centuries if nothing is done future generations will have to deal with what we have done)
And when all is set and done, people in future generations will remember the democrats tried to do something to stop it and the republicans let it happened because it didn't affect them so it didn't matter. People will remember...when we get into a war with Iran over oil and oil prices go up to $10 a gallon and the country comes to a standstill. People will remember....when you fail to initiate alternative energy and continue to raise sea level and destroy our planet.
Lets stop this now while we still have a chance.
I'll Vote for Mccain if he promises to protect the environment and not lie like Bush has the past 8 years, appearing to be a environmental president, but only really showing it on Earth Day.
