Bush's "arrogance" will be missed

Nice post

And I would say that a candidate who tried to put forth a personalized presidential seal is a tad on the arrogant side.

Obama

Yeah, I thought about that after I wrote this piece. While Obama may be arrogant, it doesn't seem to be founded on his convictions about a clear vision of the future. That could very well change once he were to get elected though and reveals a vision too radical to get him elected.

There's a big difference

between arrogance and self confidence. Bush displays the latter, Obama the former(in spades). And you're right. The difference has everything to do with personal conviction and solid accomplishments. Or as Dizzy Dean once put it: "It ain't braggin' if you can back it up."

(In case you're scratching your head over the that last reference, Dean was a pitcher for the St. Louis Cardinals in the 1930s. Quite a character, and a heck of a ball player. He was known for his aphorisms, especially as a broadcaster, sort of a Midwestern Yogi Berra. In case this ridiculous explanation isn't long enough, check out his Wiki page: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dizzy_Dean)
