One Question About "Racism"

Andrews, you're 100% right

A real racist made his/her decision back on day one - long before any of us started dissecting Obama's positions. As I said on Pesky Truth, I think that the racist labels become insulation that becomes a defense to anything and everything that the race-baiter doesn't like.

I am just puzzled whenever I hear some commentator saying the Republicans are tying Obama to this black man or that... Do they really think no one noticed Obama is black?

It is such nonsense I am surprised no one has pointed it out. I would hope someone on the news staff at one media giant or another would have enough sense to notice this little problem with their arguments. But so far, no.

And since I dropped a link in comments on your blog, let me link back to your related article to drum up some return traffic:

It is only fair if I am going to put links on your site.

This is all assinine at best

I mean the claim that the only reason the polls could be so close is because people are racist is just the most far out there thing I have ever heard. (Not ever, but you get my point.)

The fact remains that dedicated Republicans are going to vote Republican. The polls are always generally about the same in every election.

So why would Republicans suddenly change everything they believe just because "The Messiah" is running? (And thank you for validating that jab, Louis Farrakhan, you fruit loop!)

I must be racist. And humanist. And sexist. Because you couldn't pay me to vote for Obama, Clinton, Edwards, Dodd, Kucinich, Biden...any of them.

Allow me to lie to myself and set a poor example for my son by voting Obama so that I don't appear racist.

I already appear racist anyway lol I have my McCain/Palin pin on my bag and when I'm downtown for work (I am not even kidding you) I get dirty looks from black people and on Friday one blatantly and purposefully moved away from me waiting in line for something.

A.S.

I never gave the polls much credence, but considering that when Obama's own polls showed him losing 15% of Democrats and running neck and neck among independents, but the "impartial" polls showed him ahead. So, apparently, 20% or more of Republicans were going for Obama?

Ever since then I have been very skeptical of the polls, and remain so.
