My father

was the head of advertising for a savings & loan back in the 70s. It was called Texas Federal. He ran an ad campaign that showed normal folks doing courteous things (I was on set for one shoot...people coming out of a church, showing Texans are a people of faith, and a little girl pops a candy into her mouth but drops the wrapper on the ground. she takes a few steps, stops, then goes back and picks up the litter). The voiceover said, "Texas people are like that. Texas Federal Savings and Loan."
