Conservative Philosophy Polite Discussion

Geez, Arturick

I hope we find something better than Dilithium, those things are always in danger of burning out. Just ask Scottie, "The dilithium crystals wonny take any more of this Cap'n,"

The political landscape, as you correctly observe, is warped, but we can't use it to travel the stars.

I think I'll go with anarchist since I find myself politcally homeless.

I'm a Nerd

Dilithium based power cores would, in the guidlines set by the Star Trek canon, be able to power food replicators, life support, holodecks, and full impulse power on a ship the size of Iowa nearly indefinitely.

The engineering department starts to flip out when Cpt. Testosterone tries to exceed safe warp speeds for long periods of time or engage entire enemy fleets in dogfights.

Polite discussion is one

of those things that look good on paper. Liberals don't want discussion and debate, they just want to dictate policy, hence hate crimes, fairness doctrine, and shouting over anyone who has a different point of view.

I really enjoy rational discourse. The give and take of ideas. I'm in awe at the depth and breadth of knowledge that is present on these blogs. Then a troll shows up and it's like arguing with a three year old.

I'm at a disadvantage when it comes to movies and television references, though, as I don't watch much of either. Oh well, that, too, I pick up on throughout the threads.

Its Unfortunate, but

in my experience liberals only enjoy discourse when you agree with them.

Once one disagrees and presents facts to back up that disagreement the mask of civil discourse comes off. The 'bushlied...illegal war...hope and change' rhetoric comes forth and discussion is stalled. Its as predictable as the sun rising in the east.

I guess I'd be

about a +7/-7 moral libertarian
