"Barack Obama, Michelle Obama and Bernardine Dohrn also worked at the same law firm according to sources. Of course there is the possibility that they may not have been palling around at the time but it is indisputable that their paths crossed repeatedly."

"According to sources, when the Khalidi’s left Chicago for Columbia University in New York, Rashid was honored with the Edward Said Chair in Arab Studies at that Ivy League university. Their goodbye party in Chicago included testimonials from Bill Ayers and Barack Obama."

how many people would've been aware of that relationship, and not one would have stepped forward up to now? it seems pretty far-fetched. it's definitely something a good REPORTER might think about, though, and i just wonder how many would've gone after this story.
the only thing that REALLY puts the antenna up, though, is kalidi. now we have wright, ayers, khalidi, a HAMAS endorsement and farrakhan. for God's sakes, what's next?
you know, i found a really interesting link on here talking about thomas ayers-- bill's father--connection to the woods fund, which gave obama the organizer job he took after coming out here from ny. i'll try to post that by the end of the night. interesting, but i agree. just interesting, but no guts to it.

That's the difficulty - he deliberately left no paper trail and anything he did leave is sealed. Even his peers at the harvard Law review spoke of how they foundit frustrating that he never seedm to take a position on anything - he'd validate everyone elses, but never divulge his own.
Funny thing is how he speaks in his socialist code "economic justice, investing in the future, etc..." and we know what he's saying. The perfect storm is brewing - Heaven help us, he might win.

he won't release ANYTHING. it's not just the columbia transcript. hmm.
i think it's getting very close to president obama. john mccain may well lose to the economy. and we'll have president obama. well. as george will would say.
there's still time. but i just don't see people sitting there now, this close to the election, and saying, "obama." then, turning around and reversing themselves without strong impetus. too close for that.
the only hope is fannie and freddie and really convincing the average voter that putting obama in office after freddie and fannie is like putting a wolf in an apron in charge of the butcher shop he just tore his way through. good luck. even when it's true, contemporary voters gravitate towards the dem in financial crisis. a first time for everything, granted.
we shall see. i smell disaster in the air. but i'm amusing myself with this strange tale of william ayers in the meantime.

sue, did you see brussels
on hillary's blog log? it's down near the end. i guess the someone who ran woods was also the head of sahara... wait, i'll paste.
The Woods Foundation gave a $25,000 grant to Developing Communities Project, which in turn hired Obama as a community organizer in Chicago’s south side. The head of the Woods Foundation at the time was Gerry Kelm, chairman of Sahara Coal. Sahara Coal was a supplier to Commonwealth Edison, whose chairman was Thomas Ayers, father of William Ayers. Both Barack and William were in New York during the mid-eighties.
... a MAJOR supplier, from what i've read.
blog comment, or whatever it is, goes on...
William Ayers was earning his M Ed from Bank Street College of Education in 1984 and then earning his M Ed and Ed. D from Columbia in 1987. Also in New York, was Bernadine Dorhn (William Ayer’s wife). In 1981 she refused to answer grand jury questions about the Brinks robbery/murder involving both former weatherman members and a few Black Panther members.
? wouldn't it have been kind of hard for obama not to have at least have been familiar with the name of william ayers, under the circumstances? the goings-on would've gotten a great deal of media attention at the time.

MAY be too late. maybe not. but maybe. a reuters national poll today shows only a three point lead. but when you look at the many, many polls of battleground states, the economy has turned it to a sea of blue... the bright spot? the leads aren't all that large.
i thoght mccain clearly won that debate, both on style and substance. obama was clearly flustered after the fannie freddie grenade.
it may NOT be too late. obama MAY be cresting too early. a lot of it is going to depend on whether something removes the economy from the front-burners. we've already seen this start, to some extent.
moreover, let's face it, this is a run between two democrats. mccain's not dead yet, but those polls, up till the day the election is held, contain their own spin...
if mccain loses, a nasty, far-left media will rejoice that pro-lifers lost with a fiscally liberal republican... but the reality is that john mccain will, seriously, have lost to the US economy. he is not the "democrat."

i don't want to lend any support to an anti-semite. if sean hannity knew he was an anti-semite, i agree, he shouldn't have had him on his show. but sean hannity's not asking me to vote for sean hannity to run the entire nation.
role models are people that are bigger and better than the average person. presidents are people that are MUCH bigger and better than the average person, much as the democrats like to resist this concept.
this tie with bill ayers isn't "guilt by association." and it's no joke, either.
the guy tried to blow up fellow americans. it's not exactly frivolous and "racist" to be concerned about the scope of his relationship with someone who may very well end up our next president.
the obama camp continues to dig its own hole on this. if you feel a news anchor shouldn't have had someone who made anti-semitic remarks on his show, you must certainly feel that a future president shouldn't have been co-chairing events with someone who tried to blow up other americans, who stood on top of an american flag for an effectively sick pic, and who says he just didn't do enough. these people really are something else.
i hope for nothing for this ayers guy and his wife but to have a happy life. his conscience is his business. but his road to happiness and contentment shouldn't include having an influential role with the preisdent of the united states.

BG, if you like exploring the Ayers/Dorn angle try this argument. Ayers and Dorn, because of their involvement with the weather underground, are identified terrorists.
Obama, because of his associations with these two, would not be qualified to join most federal law enforcement agencies including the secret service.
We'll let him be president but he couldn't be a member of his own secret service detail.

That special Hannity did the other night laid a lot out and it was just really scary.
Obama is like a phantom. Tons of records from work he has done in various places just disappeared. I'm sorry they were "destroyed."
Convenient.
And yes. It is all very interesting. People need to make better use of google because if you type in Obama's name with any of these people more information comes up than any one person could possibly get thru.
With that in mind, why on earth are we even debating why Obama should or should NOT be POTUS? The answer is out there, but people have so much distain for Bush that they believe having the exact opposite will magically heal all wounds.

Hannity special
Hannity had a special on Hannity's America over the weekend about Obama's radical connections. They tried interviewing his old college roomate, his professors, fellow classmates, anyone. No one would say a word, release any information, his thesis, nothing. Nothing from him from the Harvard Law Review.
I mean...they connected him with Rashid Khalidi, Ayers, and the others IN DEPTH. I can't remember if Andy Martin was on there (there were so many people and names dropped). But there was mention of his connections with people whom were anti-semitic and muslim extremeists.
I'm sure there are Youtube videos of it out there. I wish I had DVRed it so I could watch it through again. (It's hard to watch anything all the way through with an 8 month old trying to climb on everything haha)

This is from awhile back. George say it ain't so!
And it is not only the Democrats who are interested in this “rock star politician,” as he has been called. The day after Obama won the Senatorial election, President George W. Bush called him, announcing, “You’re one articulate fella!” The two ended up chatting for 10 minutes, according to one of Obama’s aides. Two weeks later, Obama accepted an invitation to the White House and had breakfast with President Bush, Vice President Dick Cheney and political strategist Karl Rove.

But, he also had his goons - and Obama has his too - did you see the black-shirts and combat fatigues video of public school kids standing at attention, and stepping forward one at a time to recite Obama's platform. Now where is Obama telling people to stop with this nonsense about McCain being a racist? Oh hiding behind Axelrod. Sorry, I forgot.
On the lighter side, buy some cool cheap stocks. And I noticed all of a sudden that yard signs are going up all around me in the neighborhood for McCain/Palin. I am not sure if everyone got them in the mail the same day, but they are out. Of course some are in the windows because you know according to the association on the lawn would be an eye sore, hence the name, yard/lawn sign! I live in CA what do you expect?
I hope McCain goes after Obama in the debate and lays it on. Take the gloves off. Go after him and his party and his campaign team that apparently play by the Chicago politics rule.
Did you see on Fox this morning, the woman with ACORN. I was laughing so hard. "It's not that bad - we are not a bad group!" No, not at all and if you were any other group, especially associated with Republicans you would be in jail. Thank you very much!

Barack Obama's former competitor for the 2008 Democratic Party presidential nomination Hillary Clinton stated she was most likely never going to bid for the presidency again.
On Tuesday's Fox & Friends TV show Clinton said her chances to run for president in 2012 were close to zero, the US Magazine reported.
Clinton said she was just going to focus on her job as a Senator from the state of New York. She was first elected to this position in 2000, and reelected in 2006.
Obama's former rival for the Democratic nomination also denied having any ambitions to become the next Senate majority leader, or to seek a Supreme Court nomination.
