That Will Never Happen In America

Seriously?

I am not sure if you are aware but the deficit we are finding ourselves in right now is mostly due to the recession and extended policies from the Bush administration. All those tax cuts for the middle-upper class people in America isn't helping any. Also I think there was some war that we have spent over 1 trillion dollars on.
Also, I applaud President Obama for closing that breeding ground for torture that we call Gaunatanimo Bay. We claim to pave the way for human rights, but when push comes to shove we deny everything to even those that we suspect of having any involvement in terrorism.
I also am grateful for a President who has the guts to say we were wrong when we were. We need to try to get rid of this superiority complex that is spreading across America to makes us believe that we can do no wrong.

How Long Can You Blame Bush?

Ah, yes, it's all Bush's fault, isn't it? Obama has tripled the deficit of last year in his first 6 months in office. Is that Bush's fault? Congress passed a bloated, pork-filled budget for 2010 of $3.5 trillion. Are you going to blame Bush for that? Obama has saddled our children and grandchildren with a debt of over $10 trillion for the next 10 years and wants to increase that burden with more government spending. Whe my family runs short of money we stop spending. Not Obama. He wants to spend more, and more and more. I am no fan of George W. Bush but you and Obama have to stop shifting the blame and take responsibility at some point.

As far as Guantanamo (learn how to spell it if you are going to cite it), who, exactly, was tortured? I was a USMC interrogator in Viet Nam and I know what torture is. John McCain and the PW's held in Hanoi know what torture is. You, sir, have no clue as to what torture is. If you are referring to waterboarding, which Gitmo critics most often refer to as torture, many of our military personnel undergo the technique as part of their training. I suppose you believe that we are torturing our own people as part of their training? Or do you have another definition of torture?

You are grateful to have a president who "has the guts to say we were wrong"? I'd like a president who has the guts to say that we have been right a lot more often than we were wrong. I'd like a president who reminds that world of all the blood and treasure America has sacrificed in many parts of the world so others could live in freedom and enjoy the rights and liberty that we enjoy in America.
