Nee, You moved too?
Isn't it the pits? I had professional movers who set everything up; but I’ve had nobody to help with the 200+ boxes to unpack. I’m down to 92 now and about to go crazy!! My dad has had cataract surgery on both eyes; one at a time, guess who takes care of that? My daughter had a miscarriage and before that I was literally hit by a 220 lb man over a mo ago! I feel your frustration, but 4 deaths!!!! Wow!
Okay, what in the heck made you move to Ill? Job…I need one, but not there! Yes our politics are in a real mess, but everyone seems to be on vacation, including the libs in Congress, what do they care? Funny post, thanks for the laughs, I needed them.
I finally posted the 2nd half of my vacation after my 6 weeks of travail.

My family, too, has lost 4 relatives and 2 good friends this summer.
It has not been a good year so far.
Nee, I am sorry about your move. I hope it gets better.

And speaking of ranting...you'll never guess what I saw on the way home last nite...in someone's yard!! I swear I am gonna take a photo and post it.
In the dead of summer: a Nativity Scene with a sign above it...Wisemen vote for Obama
Wait, no!! Let ME get you the barf buckets- It would be my pleasure!

What a high-energy rant! Is it coffee or true passion?
Moving is always insanity. I had friend once who packed a couple of suitcases and then phoned everyone he knew and said to spread the word that he was giving everything he owned away. his house was stripped in a few hours. He moved to the new place and just started acquiring new stuff again. funny post though. It feels like it was typed free-style at a high speed.

Why is everyone moving?
Is there something going on that I don't know about? Anyway, what you are seeing in CT and elsewhere has been going on here for decades but has been particularly bad since Bush became prez. Here in LA, (you probably only heard of the Bologna murders in SF) we have instances of politicians and police protecting murderous gang-bangers almost on a daily basis. LA is broke and is passing all kinds of illegal fees and taxes including a new .5% addition to the sales tax yet finds $1.6 million to fund a book fair in Mexico. Get used to it. It's heading your way. Particularly if McCain wins. Obama doesn't have the emotional and ego investment in amnesty that McCain has and will cave fast, particularly if House Repubs and Blue Dogs are free to fight from day one (will that happen with McCain as prez? Doubt it).

BTW on oil price drop
It is only temporary. The dollar regained strength the past two weeks because of the growing realization that the global economy is sinking with no end in sight (so you can pitch both candidates economic plans). This takes pressure off of oil because it is dollar-denominated and dollars now buy more oil. But it won't last. The European economy may be much worse than the "experts" thought but ours is not rebounding either it is hard to see the dollar not reverting to weakening.
Also, China forced cars off the road during the Olympics and reduced their subsidies for gas recently which reduced their demand for oil. Those cars will be back on the road soon and everyone will get used to the higher prices.
So it wasn't manipulation but a short-term price adjustment to inventories. You can't put oil back in the ground once it is brought out.
One change that works in favor of dollar strength is that the world now sees that the world is much riskier than believed, particularly in Europe. If Europeans want to be safe, they are now going to have to spend their own money building their own military. America is the safest place in the world by far and we are the only super power. People tend to take that for granted. There are bigger threats than Islamic terrorism. Major wars have started over less than what just happened in Georgia.

Most the time it is GOOD to let a good rant fly. Just a thought on your paragraph about the Nativity scene with the Wisemen vote for Obonga. Am I wrong,or would that be considered SACRELIGIOUS to the dhimmi party? Wonder when the ACLU will show up at the moron's house with subpoenas blazing?

I just love a good rant!
Thanks for dropping my my dusty old blog. Yes, I am fine and well. Just taking the summer off. Pool days, road trips, fun fun fun. Sadly, I just can't find anything funny in any of this so my KB is silent for a bit. Edwards was funny but no joke was funnier than the reality. Can't improve on that clown. And Elizabeth! What a hack. Sorry for her kids she has cancer but what a complete fraud both of their parents are. Hope they find solace in the mansion since there is nothing in their parents to bring them comfort.
Hope to be writing soon!

Love your rant.
On the edwards thing I too don't understand why these women "stand" by their "men". For one thing this is no man who cheats on his wife who has cancer.
The other woman is lying her through her teeth for the bas*ard. She should beware. If he treats his wife like this, he'll do the same to her. She's just stupid.
