My daughter hates me...and God smiles

My daughter is now 35, unmarried, and a pediatric oncologist. Throughout her teens and early twenties she was "wildchild", at least in my view.

Dorm parties, weekend party marathons, and her insistence that I call before visiting her in her new "flat". Uh, Uhhhh....ME? Call first?

"Why", I asked. "Doing things you're ashamed of?"
I was sorry immediately after the words were said.
I knew I had instilled in her a goodness of heart, and an ethical devotion to integrity, and, like the arrowsmith, we can only strive to make a straight shaft, but then, we must knock the arrow and let her fly. Hopefully, we have been as successful as parents as the smith was with arrows.

Her choice of oncology specific to children is a painful, sorrow filled world. But she endeavors to make life livable for "her kids".

Proud. PROUD FATHER HERE. You will see what I mean. I am sure of it.
