I too am of German descent,my family camd here in the early 1800s and maybe it is the German in me,but were all conservatives.

your post under Prager's article and I definitely agree with you. Stop Islamic immigration. I don't know what our government is thinking if it is indeed thinking letting these people in here who have sworn to kill us.

I did not want to post on that site again. I did this afternoon and got really tired of being called ignorant etc.

My family are immigrants too. My maternal grandfather was russian, my grandma hungarian.
My other grandfather was belgian and my granny dutch.
They loved America and wanted to be part of America and leave their conditions(in Hungary and Russia).

I can appreciate your comments. However, I have to disagree. There is a very slippery slope when we start closing our legal immigration doors based on a Religion. What religion is next? Maybe we have to many athiests in our country so no more of them. And Scientology is a whacko religion so no more of them. I know the rebuttal is that we are at war against Islamic extremists and Islamic terrorists. I know it as well as anyone because I am currently serving In Iraq. However, I fear policies like you propose, I dont want to win the War here and come home and find that the America of Freedoms I love back home is lost.

And be sure that when i refer to immigration I am strictly speaking of documented, controlled LEGAL immigration. My german citizen, legal resident alien, wife would kill me if i argued against all immigrants. WE MUST ENFORCE OUR BORDERS and stop the ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION.
