The Senate...Comedy Central?

Al Franken, A Comedian?????

When I think of comedians, I think of Bob Hope, Red Skelton, and possibly others.

Franken is no more than a foul-mouthed "shock" entertainer. (And not even close to Richard Pryor).

But you are correct. With Franken giving the Dumbocraps the "super-majority", it is appropriate that everyone sees him as a "comedian".

And even though this is no laughing matter, I pray that the "joke" will eventually be on the Dumbocraps.

GG...

It is now all their stage...they will either have a standing O, a walk out, pie in their face, or a country in chaos with the closing curtain.

There will be no one to blame but themselves, the bad actors...no blaming the repubs.

Donnie

In clean language, the country and the world are in deep yogurt...

Good one.

I can't see Al Franken as a Senator! It's pretty amazing who can get elected in the Democrat Party.

This will be no comedy. Probably more like "Les Miserables."

Ugh!

Well, the people voted or did they? Sorry, but there was a lot of weird stuff going on with this election.

I can't believe this guy is in the Senate. But then again, look what else is in the Senate, tax cheats, power hungry big heads, zombies, guys who have no clue who or where they are.....term limits!

Sue...LOL

I know...well I think we're in for a horror show that won't resemble a comedy.

Sandra...;)

Les Miserables...clever...but only for those living outside DC...

Not much can be done now...all the people that are waiting to "find their Reagan" after the country goes down the tubes, may not be able to find the bottom of the heap of manure they will have to dig through after the left is finished with their act.

Sheila

Did you hear Franken, I am not going as the 60th senator, but as the second senator from Minn. Who by the way got a lot of money from Soros.

I know it would have cost money, but why didn't they just do a new election? Remember the ballots that were found in the car? How about more people voted than lived in the area.

I can't believe this guy is in the Senate. And why do I feel that he will take the floor and act like an a**? Oh hey, he gets to vote on Crap and Trade! Yeah for him!

By the way, it's IOU day in our state. Do we have a budget yet? When do we fall down? Where is Arnold?

P.S.

Isn't that Health Care Town Hall thing on now? I refuse to watch it. Spare me!

BTW

I finally put up a blog on Al Gore and Democrats profiting from Global Warming.

Remember how Bush and Cheney were accused of profiting from oil?

Sandra...;)

I'm over there! Thanks for the heads up!

Sue...

I can't believe the "bad" comedian is a Senator either... it's a joke (no pun intended...;)

And in Kahlifornia:

Wheeeeere's Ahnold?...trying to hold out for no more spending, and cutting the budget I hope!

It's a mad, mad world...

And Sue...PS

I'm not watching the Healthcare "Comedy" Townhall either...

I didn't watch either.

But I just saw a review on Special Report on Fox. It didn't go over that well, and all the questions were pre-screened. Anyone surprised? I think Obama is losing his luster.

Sandra

Surprise! Pre-selected questions! Ah shucks! Just a bunch of hometown folks!

Did you see

that Helen Thomas was furious about the pre-screened town hall meeting and took the WH to task? She said that even Nixon didn't try to control the media.

Good for her!

Yup! I saw her Sandra...

Gutsy lady! And good ol' what's his name also...what is his name???? Skip?

I'm embarrassed for the nation on that

What a bad dream.

Interesting that I come here and see this after essentially saying the same thing in response to your last post at my place.

It makes me sick, out of all the crap I've seen recently, this is the worst.

Grr...

Town Hall

I did not watch the "fake" health care townhall thing or whatever it was.
Finally Helen Thomas and Chip Reid woke up. And really Gibbs is so arrogant. Ugh!

Sue...

Think they will remain on the front row? Hmmmm.... we shall see. Maybe they will get a seat re-assignment.

Ol' Gibbs doesn't like tough questions from the adoring press...

Sheila

Our Government is as good as Franken's comedy routine....

We're screwed.

I am with Gray Ghost...

...on his comment. True comedians are, well, not on the same plane as this idiot. Truly another pepto-bismol moment!

Eric...

U huh... and it isn't a barrel of laughs.

HAhahahahaha, Sheila!

Hey!

Where'd your last essay go, and all the comment thread?

Are you really THAT lame?

I guess you are, because it's all mysteriously vanished.

I guess when you asked the question of what my side thought about things, you really didn't want an answer.

I have to say, though... that was really pathetic, just deleting the entire thing because you couldn't adequately respond. No wonder your party's in so much trouble, if that's the best you can do.

God!... That's simply hilarious!

Just cleaning out the trash, B

My question has been answered.

The Good News

Is that some Democrats in moderate states, afraid of losing their jobs, are balking at some of the more extreme components of Obamas agenda. My hope is that Democrat infighting will hold off Obamacare and Cap and Trade until 2010 where if the Republicans can clarify what they stand FOR rather than just opposition, maybe they can make a dent in his majorities
