The Doctor Is In!

Welcome to Townhall!

I like your style, so I'm adding you to my blog roll.

I grew up in a Democrat household and turned into a Republican after marrying a Goldwater activist with a wonderful library of conservative books.

You might also want to check out non-normie.com to see what happened to the Democrat Party.

Goldwater

Phoenix Lady, I appreciate your kind comments. The previous comment (Nice Blog!) was an experiment to figure out the TownHall editing mechanism, which I find unusually clunky. I have learned that the blogger cannot maintain the comments section or even edit his own comments.

Anyway, I know how you feel. In 1969 I went to see Sen. Goldwater speak to a bunch of summer interns on Capitol Hill, and he said that the most important thing to our free society is our right to own private property. The audience, unfortunately was puzzled, but he added, "If you think about it, and I mean really think about it, you'll see that that's the foundation of all our freedoms." When I reported back to my boss, who was the chief of staff to a Democrat House member who years later would come to be known as a Scoop Jackson liberal when the term was coined, my boss said the following, which should not surprise you at all: "You know why Goldwater believes what he believes? Because he's STUPID, that's why!"

Thanks!

Check out some of the other blogs on my blog roll, too. And if you want to learn more about my abiding interest in space development, check out Sophia Systems on the blog roll. That takes you to my other blog on MSN spaces, with links to a fair number of space places, as well as to my novels, should you be interested in a little light reading.
