WTF OVER!?

NICE CATCH! Posting a link on my blog.

Scientific advances from Islam?

THAT IS FUNNY!

And they say

There's never anything Good on!

There's a couple pieces of quality british programming I'll be sure to miss.

Good post Greg. :o)

Greg, Gunny

Greg, I do love the Beeb! I'm thinking that maybe the two 'e's in it's nickname should be changed to 'o's?
Guns, um, yeah, they actually did have a flourishing culture hundreds of years ago in Europe, Spain, in fact. They just happen to think that any place their feet have trod is sacred Islamic land and keeo trying to take it back from the people who took it from them after they took it from them in the first place.

Gunny, Jackpine, Purplegimp

Thanks for the comments. I'm glad you got it!

For anyone who visits my blog and doesn't get it.

Imagine the uproar from libs if the following TV programmes appeared concurrently in the listings:

Now 19:30 - 20:30
The Arabic Future: A History by Professor Biggles. Islamic Plenty: A look at the Islamic world's waning belief in the infinite possibilities of their land and resources.

Immediately followed by:

Next 20:30 - 21:00
Solomon Israel takes a journey in search of the story of Judaism in Europe and America. In the US, he uncovers an extraordinary tale of scientific advance and rich cultural influences.

Liberals would be out of their minds with rage. How dare the Beeb publish such "zionist" propaganda.

Yet in the UK, we have this inflicted on us all the time.

------------------------------------

Libs complain about Limbaugh ... but we have George Galloway piped into almost every British home (you need a digital receiver) through the TalkSport radio show.

http://www3.talksport.net/shows/show.asp?showId=100229

Here's his bipartisan analysis of the security situation in the mid-East:
http://www.georgegalloway.com/index.php

As his website says, "Respect helped organise the militant demonstration on Sunday in London outside the Israeli embassy within 24 hours of the first air raids on Gaza."

(Respect is George Galloway's political party)

Think about that.

The leader of an ultra-left Arabist political party has a radio show that broadcasts a few times each week, and just about every household in the UK is able to receive it.

Ooops

"Liberals would be out of their minds with rage. How dare the Beeb publish such "zionist" propaganda. Yet in the UK, we have this inflicted on us all the time."

What I meant to say was that in the UK, we conservatives either:

(a) Are subject to liberal commentary (if we are lucky)

or

(b) Have liberal propaganda inflicted on us.

And just to remind you, the BBC has an annual budget of about £4 billion, and the lions share of that comes from the licence fee which is a compulsory annual purchase of £139.50 for any household that owns a TV.

Repeating my post from Gunny's site

Well, Winnie
your empire might not have lasted as long as you thought.
But you were right.
1940 was Britain's finest hour.

Greg

What’s scary is that millions of people don’t get it, or worse, do and condone it.

I live one time-zone east of you in Italy. There is also an annual TV tax levied here for the state owned RAI 1, 2, and 3. Only a matter of time before OBS (Obama Broadcasting System) hits the airwaves. But the OBS would be a redundant source of news since we already have ABC, NBC, and CBS.

I see a few parallels of European socialism creeping into America. What’s really troubling is that most Americans do not have a basis for comparison...especially the young. Like slowly boiling the frog, they won’t understand until they’re cooked.
