Measure H
How iressponsible can you be, why would the yes on measure h campaign deface their own signs so they would have to put more up, that would cost there campaign more money. What proof do you have,There signs have been defaced more than once,if anyone is using dirty tactics if you ask me its the no on h side ,there putting signs in peoples yards without asking, in the middle of the night, like when the yes on h signs were defaced... coincidence i dont think so.. why would someone just take ur neighbor's and your sign that doesnt make sense they would go after a whole area or take all of them in Rocklin or even deface them... Talking about Straight talk get your facts right... Noone before probably wanted your generation to move in here when you did, thats hipacritical of you not to want to stimulate this economy it needs help and yes on h would definitly help out...

Measure H
Sir
You have it all wrong. Taking and vandalizing signs seems to always happen in political campaigns, especially in Rocklin. The Yes on Measure H group has a bottomless pit of money. Having to spend a few hundred or a few thousand dollars on a few more signs means nothing to them. The No on Measure H group does not have a blank check for their campaign. I have dealt with some of the members of the Yes on Measure H in one of my campaigns for the Rocklin School Board. Mayor Brett Storey was taking my campaign sign down every night and throwing it in my back yard. I caught him doing it. Hear is the link from the Placer Herald when he admits he was taking the sign down. He said he was doing me a favor. Give me a break. I am sorry to hear you have bought into the deception from the Yes Measure H group.

Conservative Republican? Yeah, right!!!
ANY conservative republican would know the cut and dry of this issue is private property rights. And EVERY republican should be concerned with other people dictating what a property owner should do with his land. This property owner/owners purchased this land that was zoned in the general plan to be developed and he wants to develop it. The county is happy with the Measure H plan, the city is happy and the developer is happy, so whats the problem? Its nosey people who have nothing better to do than take away other peoples rights. If you were really a conservative republican as you say then you would be voting Yes on Measure H
By the way, I really think the Yes on Measure H people are busy running a real campaign and don't have time to play high school politics by destorying their own signs. You must be a conspiracy theorist too!

Sorry to disagree with you. If the owner wants to develop the land, why not built 2,000 homes on the property? Even as a Republican, I am tired of the developers funding every local politician's campaign. Why don't you research the members of the Rocklin City Council and see how much developer money they have taken? They take the money even though they never have any real opposition when they run for re-election.

Do your due diligence!
Anyone who moved here in the past decade could and should have gone to city planning and looked at the big, multi-colored, dumbed-down so a preschooler could figure it out map of the city plan. It's called due diligence. That land was bought, paid for and zoned residential. Now the poor "johnny come lately tree-huggers" on the hills and land surrounding Clover Valley decide they don't want it built out. Boo-friggin' hoo! If they don't like it they should have moved to Loomis or further. This plan was in place and private property rights need to be respected. You may disagree with the city council on most things, but they are right here. The developer has compromised - more than I can say for most.

I talked to both sides and what Yes on Measure H people had to say really resonated with me, they told me the owners of Clover Valley will create a 5 acre park along hiking and biking trails, if we have to pay for some maintenance who cares, we're getting a FREE PARK ON SOMEONE ELSE'S PRIVATE PROPERTY, hell we don't even have access to it now and I don't know about you but I'd rather pay 3 dollars in taxes then 100 dollars in taxes and still have to maintain the damn thing. Someone told me that the owners will "only" allot 1 million dollars for the fire station, and the rest the city would have to pay, "only one million" that is a whole hell of alot of money, I was almost pissin' in my pants, this guy is going to pay a million dollars for a fire-station on his own property.
Ah, God Bless America-the land where your right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness is respected; unless you have a couple of more zeros in your bank account than the next not-so-entrepreneurial guy

Let me address the issue of the fire station. While it is great the the developer is going to doanate $1M for a fire station. This is a political game they are playing. Just like the presidential candidates. Each of them are trying to out do the others in a stimulas package. The cost of the fire station is much more than $1M. Who is going to pay for the additional equipment? Who is going to pay for the people to man the fire station? The city is coming to us to pay for up keep on our parks because they cannot afford it outr of the general fund. However, they spent a few hundred thousand dollars to move some big rocks around at Rocklin Road and I-80. I do not trust the City Council. They will come back and ask us to support a tax for police and fire support. A perfect example is the entire City Council wanted to raise the sales tax in Placer County for roads. They backed away because they saw it would of been defeated on the ballot. This is a tax and spend group and I do not trust them. That is why I do not believe what they are saying regarding Measure H.

I share your frustration regarding the Rocklin City Council. However, we must still be professional and carefully select the proper adjectives when discussing certain elected officials.

This is exactly why we disagree, we come from very different political ideologies. I know my first amendment rights and I choose to exercise it freely and without regard for those who I may offend. I believe strongly in property rights, I know people in different parts of the world whose homes were nationalized because the gov't and the mob thought they knew better than the owner of the land, and what happened the land laid fallow and they became very poor. I just don't think people should tell him what to do with his land without compensating him. You know people keep saying we don't need anymore development but it market forces aren't favorable for building then he just won't build but it should be us who tells him he can't reap benefits from his own land, it's just so un-American to me, and quite frankly it discusses me. So Jetjock, I understand where you're coming from but damn you are so wrong and you should be fighting the good fight, YES ON MEASURE H!!!!! So I hope I have convinced you to feel ashamed enough to join our camp, Cheers to the freedom fighters aka those favoring Measure H.

Jerry, the real coward
How about a last name? It is people like you that have their facts wrong, and are the real disgrace to our political system.
I will tell, to their face, any of the comments I have said in my blog about the Rocklin School Board and City Council or any other politician I may have mentioned. I will attend any meeting you can set up. I have always stood by my comments. Just like the Senator John McCain, I have always provided “Straight Talk.”
Let me set the record straight, Measure J lost. If you knew anything about our political system, Measure J required a 66% yes vote. Measure H did win. What did you expect when the Yes people spent 1 million dollars and the No people spent $70,000. The No vote lost by less than 900 votes. Not bad when it took everything the good ole boy’s network could dish out.
I did come in behind an 18 year old kid. I did not spend any money on that campaign and did not have a campaign statement. You seem to forget, that in 2000, I ran against the CTA and some very poor policies in the RUSD and easily won my seat, while only spending around $3,500. I made more positive changes than any one board member in years. Yes, I did loose my re-election bid and an election in 2006. It took the teacher’s union $18,000 to defeat me.
I coached 2 years in Rocklin Softball. I would of come back for a third year but my daughter did not want to play. That was one of the worst leagues to play in. Board members would scream at the umpires during the games. What a bad example to set for the kids. And lets not forget one of the board members that seemed to be a little too friendly with the teenage girls. I hope the league has some better role models today.
Has your name ever been on a ballot? You should climb back into you little hole because you have shown that you are the real coward.

Once a "Loser" always a "Loser"
Always someone elses fault hey "Loser"?Still can't spell I see.You lost in 2004 because you were a HORRIBLE board member. You lost in 2006 because you and the Rocket Doc(your campaign manager according to all of those emails I received) and the other "helpers" from the Rocklin Academy ran a HORRIBLE race. You lost against the kid because you just plain stink as a Rocklin Resident. As for talking face to face with the elected's..Word on the street is when Peter Hill called you out, you back peddled like the coward you are. As for Rocklin Softball-well you know the real story. Straight talk? Here's straight talk. You are a disgrace as a Republican, Rocklin Resident & "Politician". Go away.

Jerry the coward
Feel free to post your comments. However, this is the last time I will respond to your cowardly lies.
For the record, I said I would meet with Peter Hill or any of the misinformed people in his group. He chose not to respond. The school board incumbents running for re-election refused to have a public debate in 2006. Just like they refused to let the Western Sierra Collegiate Academy respond to the critiques about their charter.
You are a coward because you refuse to provide a real name. I am more than happy to take you off the email list. If you do not want me to take you off, I must assume you like reading my straight talk.

The "Loser" is running...
Look who can dish it out but CAN'T TAKE IT...Doesn't surprise me. It'll be impossible to ignore me. You just have it in you to self destruct.
Now that I've unfortunately found your "blog", there's no way I'm going to let you get away with anything. I'm going to be like a little rash that you can't get rid of.
Your days of endless rants without any oversite are over. Plus, who'll proof read you to correct the endless amount of spelling mistakes you make. No wonder you tried to dumb down the School District. You couldn't understand how high quality education worked. I get it now!!
And yes, please leave me on your list. I need my dose of "Loser" talk. Just so you know, I'll send it to some others that think you need to go away. Hope you're ready for it. Mark "The Loser" Klang.... By the way. My name really is Jerry you "Loser"
