Well, I will do my best to draw you back from the dark side but I'm only one man. :)

If aggressive feelings are associated with the dark side, then which group more follows Darth and the evil Emperor, conservatives, liberals, or those on the left?

Personally, I think there are individuals from all of the above groups who belong to the dark side.

My previous comment would have been in the nature of a good-natured joke, as evidenced by the smiley-face (recognized by all United Nations member nations with the exception of Upper Volta).

I don't REALLY think you wear black robes and breathe funny. In point of fact, I haven't characterized anyone that way since I actually was "young" :). (See now, there's that face again.)

I am happy to concede that there are malefactors in every political camp.

you were kidding. Sometimes I am kidding impaired and sometimes I feel like a nut.

But I do have one strong conviction. The most dangerous temptation for any group that takes a moral stand is self-righteousness. It's true for my friends on the left and my friends on the right.

Finally, I trust you here. It is easy to tell whether someone is interested in respectful dialog.
