Tyranny hides in concern

This is exactly right! It is what makes the current government sentiment so extremely dangerous. The liberals disguise their higher taxes and increased bureaucracy with concern over 'humanitarian' issues-they worry endlessly about the rights of illegal immmigrants, some tiny endangered fish in California, and how not to offend Gitmo detainees. All of this is in the name of benevolence but what it will lead to is a government willing to take away from the well-being and lifestyle of ordinary citizens to accomplish these goals. Where will our jobs be when illegal immigrants are willing to work for less? Farmers in California are already suffering in order to protect the rights of a FISH! And some Gitmo detainees are having their rights read to them while others are living it up in Bermuda. Yes, the government is showing concern all right! Concern for everyone but the average Joe. Our personal liberties will be shackled and we will be expected to keep our mouths shut and endure!!
