Why is an escalator worse than an elevator?

? Reply

Because is it that difficult to walk up a single flight of stairs that we need to be carried up it? They just exemplify laziness to me, although I thought they were a lot of fun as a kid. Time is also not a factor, whereas if you need to get to the 10th floor that may take a while in the stairwell vs the elevator.

Good Points

It is always the case the individual responsibility will win the day, but then again, that is what this site is mostly about. Laura Ingraham's book "Power to the People" talks a lot about local involvement, but you have a terrific point. I am 62, we inch by inch over the years have learned and now we have a terrific diet and we are not wanting for anything so it can be good and good for you. I am the scientific type I take almost any recipe and make it healthier, it is actually fun. My wife is the researcher and reads every inch of every label, I am pretty good at that as well. But you never know, because I now have Liver and Lung problems. Never drank and quit smoking 35 years ago. They say it happened when I got a couple of infections, one that put me in the hospital for 8 days, the doctor said I had an infection that was trying to kill me, which is just what it felt like. So now it is even more important that we eat right. But my doctors give me high marks when they do a blood workup, so we are doing the right things.

The larger question is how to affect change in our younger people. Shaquell O'Neal the basketball play is working with young people to stop childhood obesity. Seems like worthwhile cause. I was never a fan of his, but I give him high marks for getting involved. Sienfeld’s wife has found creative ways to feed her family healthy, with unique recipes that use puréed vegetables, I might get her book myself it looks quite interesting. In her case she took responsibility for her children’s health good for her. I am running out of my allotted number of characters, so visit my blog if you wish or just email me if you feel so inclined.
