Democrats, stuck on stupid
anyone who won't invest the intellectual energy to really look into the tire gauge issue belies their ideological bias. Of course, we know it's a ridiculous ploy, and the energy issue should blow up in the Idiot Democratic Liberal's faces. Unless, of course, the GOP is just as inept at getting the message out. What're the chances of that?

The underlying logic is clear; the Dems are refusing to drill. The Repubs are advocating drilling. Period. The blue collar voters, who are the swing voters in this election, know what that means. You will see the magnificent easy lap to victory in this 'Democratic Year' fall away from Pelosi, Obama and Co. This issue has teeth.

The Repubs are doing a decent job of getting the message out but they don't have to work very hard. Every blue-collar type that I know has a tire gauge and knows about keeping their tires at the right pressure. It's the latte crowd that has to have their tires checked when they take the Volvo in for it's regular service. You think people who drive trucks for a living can't figure out who wants to look for oil and who doesn't? Or people who just got laid off when the SUV plant shut down? The underlying logic of this defeats the Dems and they think that some PR baloney about tire pressure is going to fool the rubes in flyover country. They are wrong.

Inflate your tires?
Mine are still properly inflated from when Jimma the Peanut gave this same speech 30 years ago. Tune-ups, drive slower, car pooling, wear sweaters, YaDaYaDaYada. Was this his speech or something he got from the Carter library? Yawn!!!
This is the winning issue in this election. First one to the oil wins.

Sarge, How Dare You!
It must be your incipient racism coming to the surface for you to accuse The Friend Of the People of being crafty and mendacious enough to commit plagiarism. I think our Dear Messiah is stupid enough to have never heard the Carter speeches and to have thought this up all by himself! He's dumber than Calvin Coolidge PUT TOGETHER!

i'd say to drill in some of the heads of
congress, but you know you'd only find rock.
even if there were oil beneath that, we don't yet have the technology available to make it economical to drill it out.
(raising another issue that once this ban is dropped, the race towards developing the technology to MAKE IT economical will be on)...

What do you think KimberLie and 'em would say if Dan Quayle had said to put air in your tires? And who gets a tune up these days?

We all know the double standard but as Obama's World Tour shows the media have lost a lot of their power to move opinion. Their uncritical coverage of Obama showed what he really thought. The media didn't see anything wrong with that, they think that way too. But when the unvarnished Obama hit the airwaves regular people had a totally different reaction. Tire gauges, reparations, Evil America, Citizen Of The World; what a bunch of losing issues. Democrats are supposed to lie about being for that kind of crazy stuff and then attach it as riders in the text of a two-thousand page appropriations bill. But this dope thinks he's pedaling The Received Word with this nonsense and his buds in the media are egging him on to greater folly. I'll be watching as Al Sharpton keynotes the convention!

You have more faith in the "people" than I do. Even supposing they are listening, I don't believe they will see through the smoke. McCain's voice just isn't loud enough, at least not yet.
But have you heard what's going on with Hillary today?? Sounds like the Dem convention could be a lot of fun! "United" HaHa

I thought when you entertainment industry guys do it they call it an homage. It is a shame that Obama doesn't emulate the finest Coolidge quality, SILENCE!
Then again, the more he talks the farther behind he gets. So....

Remember, these guys look on Al Sharpton as a legitimate political figure with something important to say. I think that their convention is going to shock the American People. Meanwhile the boring Republicans are going to be talking about expanding our energy supply by drilling for oil.
