Open Letter to Our Armed Forces and Their Families

Til freedom's light shines in every land, bloody waters cover this darkened earth;
crimson tides amidst crashing waves; scarlet streams and countless drops,
with floods of tears through saddened eyes.

Be strong and of good courage loyal countrymen,
well done faithful daughters, well done fearless sons. Welcome home!

For these are the ones upon whom heaven smiles,
these are the ones highly esteemed from above.

Thy mother and father, which have long-suffered you.
The young and old, who have born the reproach of Christ.
Whosoever has stretched out their hands to the poor and needy... for justice and righteousness.
And the soldier, the civil servant, who have sacrificed themselves for others.

Let my honor be as their honor...and my end as their end.
