How Much Harm Can Obama Do?

Obama has said nothing but what has been policy for decades. He told Berlin today that after WWII we saw what a world could do when we stood together. Huhhh? What was so together in the world then except the Allied Forces? It was a world split apart causing trouble, and the free world ending it by forcing our will upon Japan and Germany. What a bag of dust he is.

He also said we should be greatful we have such reminders of the evil man can do (holocaust memorial). I'd be more greatful if there were no reason for such a memorial.

Re: Russia
I believe this is just a case of severe sabre rattling by Russia. We are trying to extend our influence into their sphere, and they, in return, are threatening the same, only more so.
The chairman of the joint chiefs said basically the same thing yesterday but expressed concern that our efforts are to supply defensive missiles to former Soviet block nations, while their threat is offensive capability 90 miles from Miami. We should'a let Patton go on in when he wanted to. Russia will never be an ally.

I would agree on Russia had they not taken so many actions in the Ukraine. They have given signs that were we to slack off even slightly they would take an active role in Ukraine, sort of a Syria-in-Lebanon level of active participation.

True, they aren't going to bomb us, and they are making a show, but I also know with Bush or McCain they aren't going to be trying anything too blatant in the Ukraine or Baltic states, while with a weak president like Obama or a Clinton or Carter type, they certainly would be taking a much more active role, and if Ukraine and the Baltic states fall tot hem without any US response, I could easily see them taking on most of the CIS, perhaps the old Warsaw pact, and maybe some weak states, such as Afghanistan, or even Iraq, maybe backing Syria again as a puppet in the middle east.

It all does depend on how strenuously the US opposes their efforts.

I almost said "the US and Europe", but once I stopped laughing I changed it to "the US". As if Europe would do anything...

No need to comment on Obama, I think you said all that needs to be said.
